I sent a request for rentals in WH using their request link and got several owners offers back. I was assuming and hoping that this was a safe way to go about finding a vacation rental in WH but have heard some scary stories of scammers. Is there any chance that thsi could happen using WH's online request form?

I suppose there is a chance, but that's a website that's jointly run by a collection of owners there---presumably, they will take the effort to screen out scams for the benefit of all of the owners who use the site.

No one can guarantee someone won't be scammed, but as rental websites go, windsorhillsrent should be very safe. When an owner applies to place an ad there, their ownership of the home must be verified and their homeowners association dues paid, and their ad screened for content, etc. It isn't like anyone could just go on and place a fake ad. I would rent from owners who are easy to contact, who's calendar shows a decent amount of bookings, and who's prices are decent but not "too good to be true." You should be fine.

Hi,

I've done a enqury before and got about 55 emails! It was a bit annoying as most were auto response with no actual quote for our dates.

I agree with the posting above. If it seams to good to be true then it might be. We decided to book with a different site in the end but I would say windsorhillsrent.com is a good resource like vrbo.com.
