How is this place? Any feedback good or bad?

It's a great resort! We were there two years ago and are heading back next March. There have been lots of posts on this board and everyone who's written about it seems to have enjoyed their stay there too.

Windsor Palms has condo and townhouse units, as well as pool homes. We stayed in a 3-bedroom condo on our last visit and it was wonderful - clean, well-equipped and close to the clubhouse and pool area. Both kids and adults loved it. It's really close to WDW - 10 minutes from the resort to the WDW parking lot (great for coming back for an early afternoon swim when the kids got tired).

Next time we go we'll be staying in a pool home because there are more members of our extended family coming too, but otherwise we would have been perfectly happy returning to a condo unit. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Are parking lots at Windsor Palms crowded? We will be staying in unit 304. Did you use the 58 seat cinema? I heard that a lot of people could not even find the cinema because the resort was so huge. And how is the pool area?

The theater is located in the clubhouse. You pass right by it every time you enter and exit the property. The pool is nothing fancy, just a large outdoor pool w/ no slides. We didn't use it at all because we stayed in a pool home and had everything we needed, jacuzzi and pool. Nothing beats the convenience of having your own pool to relax in after walking the parks all day. The kids had a blast. Windsor Palms is a very lovely community. Think of it more as a big housing development (broken up into sections-houses, condos and townhouses) rather than a resort. I felt right at home when we stayed there and we will definitely be returning.

We rented a 3-bedroom condo in November and it was wonderful. Parking is no problem at all. The community pool was very nice, though nothing fancy, and in walking distance from the condos. We didn't use the theater but I've heard that its nice.

We rented a home there at Christmas time and will be going back to the same one in October. We loved it and it worked great for us! Clean property and well maintained. The home was gorgeous and very well stocked. We did not have time to use the theatre but would have if we had had the time.

Did you feel safe? My kids are early teens and while I don't let them go places unsupervised, I'll let them run to the car or stay in the condo while I run errands. Any concerns other than the normal ones for keeping kids safe?

We felt safe there.

The theater is nice, but when we tried to watch a movie one time there were lots of kids of all ages running in and out like it was their living room. I believe the parents of some of them were in the theater as well, so they weren't all unsupervised.

It's a nice place, but because the units are individually owned and managed, they vary in furnishings and upkeep. Do a little research and get references, if possible.

We have stayed in a condo and a townhome. Both were very spacious! The townhouse was really neat! 3 BR 3 full baths. 2 up, 1 down. It was less money than a stand alone pool home, but still had its own little pool, which was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 3 yo, 1yo). We had another family of 3 stay with us one night and didn't even know they were there!

We've reserved a 3 BR condo, but since it's late Nov/early Dec we weren't concerned with a pool. We will definitely tour the whole place for future reference. We usually go in Oct., but I've never seen the Christmas decor, so I wanted to go at least once. I think the kids will prefer earlier in the fall because of all the 'wet' rides, but we'll do that next year!
