Windsor Palms

Hi everyone

Myself, DH, DS (10) and DD (11) going to disney next August, for three weeks, and have been lurking on this site for some time now.

Have now decided to join in (yippee !!) and wondering if anyone has stayed in villas at the above resort. We have booked a three bed villa and have heard some say its great and others commenting about 'smells' from nearby sewer plant.

Hi,

Never stayed at Windsor Palms but have stayed at Indian Creek which is right next door.
WP is one of the nicect villa developments and with restuarants/supermarkets/Disney very closeby it's ideally located too.

No nothing about any sewage work smells.

We were there 2 years ago and didn't notice any bad smells, however some of the villas do back onto the water treatment plant but I don't know whether that would increase their chances of being smelly. Do you know which address you'll be staying at? If you do you could look at Google maps to see just how close you are.

We just booked a 3bed/bath townhouse in Windsor Hills (nearby) for next month - it was a toss up between WP and WH and it was a very close run thing, I had read a couple of threads where people asked about smell and everybody confirmed no, so that didn't put me off Palms. It was so evenly matched in the end, the two communities are very similar and the townhomes seem identical.
We chose WH in the end as it has a bigger pool (which we will probably never use ) and the property we've chosen is not overlooked and the guy threw in pool heat for free so it ended up cheaper in the end ($1400 for 14nts, all in) and we like the location on resort (not much passing traffic and not overlooked).
Good luck, I found the whole search quite tiring and time consuming (compared to hotel choosing).
I've never been there before but having driven down the main road these two communities are off, I know the rough location and what is available nearby.

hi there

we have stayed in WP twice now and loved both times, once in condo and the other in a townhouse. Both beautiful inside, the community swimming pool and facilities were fab and we never smelt anything bad. I would def recommend it!!!!

Have a fab trip, i'm trying to talk DH into going again next august.....wish me luck!

Thanks for that. We can' wait although we appreciate its a long time off yet. Have been talking about going for a long time and finally decided to go for 3 weeks in Aug 08.
