Windsor Palms vs. Emerald Island

Can someone give me a comparison of the two?
Distance to things, etc.?

Also, does anyone have a link to a specific home
they have stayed in at either of these two that
they would recommend? All the choices are really
confusing. We are looking for a 3 bedroom townhome
with a pool or private home with a pool (preferrably).

We did a lot of research before choosing a 4 bedroom pool home in Emerald Island. We will be staying there in two weeks and I will write up a report.
these are both new communities off 192 West of WDW, near Splendid China. They are so near each other that distance should not be decisive between them -- using the Sherbeth road shortcut you can get to WDW proprty within 10 minutes unless it is rush hour.

They are geared more towards vacationers than some of the other communities which may be good or bad depending on your perspective. They both have community facilities -- a pool with spa, an office where you can get some limited services. WP has a shuttle to WDW for $8. They are both very typical of this type of new development -- similar looking row houses built veyr quickly, very very close together, with houses backed up to them in most cases.

We chose EI over WP for two reasons: 1. pool homes have two living areas, a front and back parlor, which we thought would work for us since we are traveling with my mother. 2. seems to have more conservation area and walking trails than WP.

We found our home via a website, www.orlandovillas.com, which has discussion boards and all the homes are checked out by the webmaster.
You rent directly from owner.
