Has anyone stayed at Windsor Hills before?

I've been looking for a villa for a while and have found a price I am happy to pay at Windsor Hills. :goodvibes

Can anybody thats stayed there tell me their opinion of the resort in general and also can anyone give me a realistic time that it takes to get from there to Disney? And also how close is it to supermarkets and restaurants (our fave restaurant is The Olive Garden)?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Jill.

hi its very close, only a couple of miles to disney and your right on top of 192 for shops reasturants etc, nice clubhouse and pool and kids playbits etc.

To name but a few ,Red Lobster, Outback, TJI Friday and the Olive Gardenall less than a mile away. x

we are booked to stay there in oct, although we have never stayed there before.
my stepson stayed there in 08 & we visited the community,a few times during our holiday.
i was really impressed with it,which is why we have decided,to stay there, this year.
i believe, from what i have read, that it is actually, one of the closest communities,to disney.it really didn't take long at all.i would say 10 minutes or so!
it is really close to the 192,which has plenty of places to eat,you will be spoilt for choice.there is also a supermarket close by,to pick up bits, for the villa.
i don't think,you will be disappointed:)

My family stayed there when they came over for our wedding last year and they were really impressed - the journeys onto Disney property were hassle free, and they found it a great location :thumbsup2

Stayed there last October, lovely well kept place and the security was very good. We didnt make it down to the Clubhouse much but along with the rest of the community it was very clean and tidy. 3 mins has you on to the 192, its very close to all the restaurants, the I4 and World Drive is a short drive after turning right onto the 192. the Sherberth Road is left onto the 192 then first right.
Loved the standard of the villas. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We loved Windsor Hills and would certainly go back.

It was easy and we thought very fast to get to the parks. (did get lost coming home a couple of times but that was just my dodgy navigating LOL)

The facilities were great we were in a condo we used the main pool which was lovely.

I liked the secure feeling of place. It was well maintained. It was great to park out side of our condo and just be home.

Our condo was well equipt and had everything we needed.

Every time I think about planning our next trip, I think about staying onsite. Then I think we can only afford a studio and the thought of spending more than 2 nights in the same room as my two (soon to be three) children scares me. I always end up looking at condos.

Also for us the attraction of a holiday is being to see lots of different things so we liked trying out offsite places to eat. I loved the tuna dish at Bahama Breeze.

One of the nicest villa communities, can't go wrong staying there.
As others have said restaurants within easy reach.

Publix Supermarket is at Orange Lake , when you reach the junction of the 192 and Formosa Boulevard, turn left and it's about a mile up the road on the right hand side.

We have stayed at WH 3 times now - with another upcoming visit :)

We like the resort - it is gated - you can walk down to the clubhouse - and it is near to WDW.

AK is the closest (going by the Sherberth Road route) - only takes about 10 minutes and thats to get to the parking lot - MK takes the longest because of having to take the tram and monorail - but we have done it in 25/30 minutes to the entrance.

As Johnny said there is a Publix nearby - also a new SuperTarget in the same direction.

A few local places deliver there - and there are plenty of places a short drive away.

Hope you enjoy your stay :goodvibes

Fab location we stayed here a few weeks ago and loved it, took approx 7 mins to AK using Sherberth road and approx 10 mins to MK!
