Anyone work with vacationcentralflorida.com? Can you tell me your experience? Have you worked with John Cline?
Thanks

Lots of people have used this site and have good reviews. I don't know if anyone has posted about that particular owner but my guess is that he would be good to deal with since the site itself prides itself on customer service.

We rented condo 202C from John Cline in May and were very pleased with the condo. John was more than willing to answer any and all questions I emailed prior to the stay.

All of the furnishings in the condo were like brand new and the location can't be beat. (Be sure to watch the video on his website.) I was a little worried about noise prior to our visit, but the condo was actually eerily quiet the whole week. We never heard a sound from the hall way or outside...the condo's must be very soundproof.

This was our first time renting a condo and we found it was so much nicer than staying in one hotel room. Windsor Hills is located close enough to the parks that we took an afternoon break each day and it was such a nice way to escape the hectic pace of the park.

So...to answer your question...I can highly recommend renting from John Cline...I don't think you will be disappointed.

Yes, yes, people here have worked with him, it is inevitable with the continuous shameless posts from "newbies" asking "innocent" questions about them that just happen to include the website address. I don't think I have ever clicked on this board without having a ? about them or a thread bumped. It is the best free advertising. Hosestly, the DIS Boards should start charging them for all the advertising they do here. Well they have to post here, because no one visits their "site" called "DISNEY BOARDS - Your'e #1 place for all things Disney" That is nothing more than a link back to their website. By the way, has Disney sent the letter yet asking that you not use their copyrighted name?

Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed?
And what about your verse: :)
God blesses those who are gentle and lowly, for the whole earth will belong to them. Matthew 5:5

;) As far as my verse, I have that posted there to remind ME, because, well, anyone who knows me knows that I'm not that gentle.

And I guess I did get up on the wrong side of the bed, cause I just couldn't stomach one more shameless advertising post from them. I have looked at the site and it looks like they have very nice condos and are rather organized etc, but THe constant posts! enough. It is a little trasparent to me.

For anyone who (truly) is interested, there are tons of condos for rent at WH - Windorhillsrent.com for one. Also, you can find lots of condo owners that don't use a middle man and have their own websites at VBRO.com , and I found some niceones at reasonable rates (actually their thanksgiving rates were LOWER than vacationcentralflorida's by about $30 a night) just by googling "windsor hills condo rental orlando" and I threw in "disney themed" for good measure to narrow it down. There is alot out there.

Wow.. is that what they do, post here for advertisment?

Well if so, I for one, am grateful. I must have been one of those who read one of their "inquiring" posts and found the site, and rented from them. John Cline, as a matter of fact.
His townhome was lovely.. brand new. He seemed to really care that the rentors had everything they needed, and made himself, and the very well run management company, available anytime needed. The rates, extremely reasonable. After tax and fees, only $105 a night for a 3 bedroom/3 bath townhome, in the middle of June. Tastefully Disney themed... had that 'magic' feeling.

If they do post for advertisement, and others, like me, find them and rent from them, then I only see everyone benefiting from it.

:rotfl: Good verse for you then. We could all probably use it sometimes.
Do you really think this "advertising" is done intentionally by them or is it just that good news travels fast and people are reporting in because they thought it was a good deal. Whatever the case they seem to be doing well if their calendars are anything to go by.
I probably wouldn't rent from them because of the Sat - Sat restriction, usually rent a pool home and I usually do use VRBO.
I'm sure some of the owners in the other subdivisions are getting sick of hearing only about Windsor Hills also. We've stayed there 3 times and really like it but there's lots of nice subdivisions. We thought Formosa Gardens was very nice.

Sympatico, This is true, I just noticed someone reviewed a stay at their (vacation central florida.com) unit #404, the review is posted above. I think this company is one that is doing it right for the traveler, and other owners get mad at them, it says so on their website that since their prices are so low, other owners don't like them very much because they get more people staying in their condos, you can see that on the pages where they talk about why their rates are so low. Also, they rent to over 620 families a year, so you are going to hear about them a lot - good or bad - is my guess.

I keep checking them out when I see a post here referring to them, and then keep remembering that they won't work for us at all! They only rent Sat - Sat and our trips are always at least 9 days. Their prices are also comparable to others I can find, so I just don't see a price advantage either. I'm sure they're fine for the typical Disney visitor who goes for exactly a week, but we're not the typical visitor!

I just wish I could have used the $199 a week special!! I couldn't use the dates either, but that is the lowest price I have seen at Windsor Hills for a 2 or 3 Bedroom condo, we also like Windsor Palms we would stay there too for that kind of price.

Ya know, If it were once in a while, and it was high post count people most of the time, I could see it being good news travels fast. And I'm sure a few of the posts may be that innocent. But I see too many low post count blatent posts like this one. The main defender on this thread is curiously enough another low post count person (Hmmm???)

First of all, most newbies are looking to stay onsite. They are on the restaraunt boards and them park strategy boards. Usually, people don't start looking off site until after their 1st or 2nd stay. Even if they hit this board first, they would have general ?'s about hotels and developments....but to have already zroed in on one development, one rental company, and one owner???? While they still have quick shallow ???'s like where can we see Handy Manny in the parks?????? Yes I think it is more than intentional.

I keep seeing the Saturday to Saturday rent. We are staying 10 nights...Tuesday to Friday.

I don't know if it is because we are going in October or what but we had no problems staying how we are. Maybe it depends on the owner?

You have a completed, paid for reservation for 10 nights? When I checked, it looked like the automated payment system would let me enter 9-10 nights, but at the bottom somewhere it stated they only did Sat to Sat bookings. I wasn't actually making a reservation, so I didn't try it to see what would happen - i.e. whether they would manually come back and cancel it later or what?!

Here's a quote from their website:
"Why are your dates Saturday to Saturday? I don’t like that because my dates are different!
We do that so there are no gaps in the schedule - because with Gaps, we would have to RAISE prices, which we do NOT want to do. "

I'd be very curious to see how you got a 10 day rental! :confused3

There are no gaps in the calendars so the 10 nights may actually be 2 weeks blocked off and paid for. It's probably cheaper to just reserve 2 weeks than go somewhere else and pay for 10 nights. :confused3

TO whom it may concern:

No I am not an owner. I am a potential renter and frequent these boards even when not planning a trip. I scan for info often, so things jump out at me.

We haven't paid for our whole stay yet, but have paid a deposit which was 50% of our total.

I think what I did was first send an email asking if the dates where open and they said yes so we put in our "application" for our stay. It was approved and we were contacted directly by the owners with the information as to where to mail our money to.

I would give it a shot and see what you get.

Like I said, maybe it is the owner who was/is OK with it being 10 days.

We rented from him this past May - Condo 202c. It worked great for us, since we were only staying one week. I found his site mentioned here on the DIS after looking at several other condo sites and really liked the way that they had it set up. He always answered my emails, which at times were full of questions. The condo itself was very clean and quiet. Everything looked new and it was just as we had hoped, well, maybe better. This was our first venture into renting a condo for a Disney trip. We usually stayed off site at hotels close by. Have only ever stayed on property once, and that was only for a brief stay at POR. We loved it too, but for the money and extra convenience (kitchen, 2 bedrooms, den, 2 baths) it just fit us better. We will definately rent from them again.

Did you rent from vacationcentralflorida.com or just another individual owner in Windsor Hills? It sounds like there may be some confusion because this post is about vacationcentralflorida.com who own/manage several condos and a townhome at Windsor Hills, but only rent Saturday to Saturday. There are many other owners at Windsor Hills will book for however many days you want.

I doubt they are shilling for business either. I first saw them advertised on tripadvisor.com when I was doing a review search for Windsor Hills. My first thought was skepticism. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. I imagine other people doing the same thing. The newbies come on the disboards to see if anybody has actually stayed there. I think with the economy the way it is, lots of people are considering staying off-site to save some $$, where they normally would have stayed on-site. I am glad to see some well written reviews as I think that people only write reviews if they really love it or hate it (and you get a lot of hate reviews for places on tripadvisor, especially in hotels)

Either way, I don't think they need to shill for business. Their calendars look pretty full. I can't wait to stay at WH for my 2009 trip.
