Windsor Hills

Windsor Hills was great! We stayed in a 3 br condo on the top level (4th floor if I remember right). We were looking right down at the pool area from our screened in balcony. The place was really nice and had all the amenities of home. It was a really nice, quiet place. It was great since we had three kids and MIL came along also. The gated community, sundry shop, game room, and gated pool area were great also. Our whole condo was decorated in Mickey also!! We are planning to go back in the fall!!

Hi momma leaps!
Thanks for the great directions. We are staying at Story Time 2 in March. I have a question about key pick up at Villa Direct. We are new to Orlando and will be arriving around dinner time. Was it easy to find this place? Any hints? I presume there is an after hours service for key pick up. I was going to ask the owner some more questions about this closer to our departure but thought maybe you could help fill in some of the blanks! I am glad you enjoyed your stay there. I am very excited to be there. At first I thought we should stay onsite but with 5 in our family (and the price of the deluxe hotels that can accomodate 5) we will be really glad to have found a spacious and reasonably priced place so close to the parks!:thumbsup2

Hi crazymama,

We actually arrived before 6pm (when they generally close), BUT right next door you will see an AFTER HOURS DOOR. The owner will give you a code to punch in. You punch that in, you let yourself in and I believe you look for your name on the wall. There should be a welcome packet for you there.

We had no problems finding Villa Direct. It's right off of 192. Keep in mind that there is a small road that runs parallel to 192. They are off that very road. You are looking for the Denim Place as a landmark. There is also a Payless Shoe store in that same strip mall. Villa Direct is in a yellow building. Not terribly hard to find and not too far from Windsor Hills.

It was nice and spacious. Which is what you need when you have a big family.

Have fun ~

We had 4 kids and my MIL came along too. It was nice because she only came with us to the parks 2 days and the townhouse was a nice place to just hang out and we didn't feel awful about letting her stay in a hotel room all by herself. We were literally minutes from the clubhouse. My kids absolutely loved it~ We will be going back for sure.

Just got back from a 3 week stay at WH - stayed in a townhouse(great) you need the extra space and w/d for 3 weeks. My DD enjoyed the splash pool & main pool & found driving to the parks a breeze. Any questions please ask.

Hello there,

We stayed at Storytime 1. Their original townhouse, I believe. We had an awesome time. Once I get home I will post pictures of our townhouse. It had all the amenities of home. We were very comfortable. We had a total of 5 adults and 2 children. They had a highchair, stroller, and bed rail. The kitchen was well stocked. Our pool was great. The kids enjoyed that the best.

Just curious, did the bedrail have a small hole in the mesh? We stayed there back in september and rentend some items from www.abbf.com and my dd worked a small hole in one of the bedrails, so I decided to leave it at the townhome since it would definetly still work and bought a new one (identical) and left it for the abbf people.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for the replies of info. Sharing info here makes this board so great. We found a 3BDR condo at WH. Look forward to our stay.

We will be driving from the north (I-75). What's the quickest way to get to WH from the turnpike? Is it quicker to on 27 or go on down to 429/545. I assume this will be quicker than going all the way to I-4/192.

Thanks!

Mamaleaps,
Can you tell me if the main pool was crowded and if it was easy to find pool chairs. I guess it would be less crowded in January of course. I ask this because we stayed at Poly for 9 days last trip and almost never found pool chairs, which is very agrravating when you pay $400 a night for deluxe resort. I love the Poly but think we are definantely going to try Windsor hills next trip.:goodvibes

I don't know because our children didn't use the bed rail at all.
Sorry.

We never had a problem finding pool chairs. The pool wasn't ever really crowded. The closer it got to Christmas the more people I noticed but I would never say it was crowded. I have some pics of the pool area.

We didn't miss staying onsite at all. I think b/c of the way the townhouses are decorated. At least the Storytime ones. I don't know about the others. I just felt like I was at a Disney Hotel. Getting to and from the parks was really easy. Plus, you can't really beat the savings. We stayed for 10 days and paid $1700 and that included pool heating.
