Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help me decide. I thought I was set on Windsor Hills but I've read lots of good comments about Emerald Isle particularly with regard to landscaping and the general feel of the community.

We will be renting a 4 bed (or 5 if we can't find a 4 bed) villa with pool and both resorts seem to have a good supply of high quality villas. Distance to Disney isn't an issue as they both seem pretty close.

I really need to know which has the best communal facilities, particulalry for a young family (4 and 7). I know Windsor Hills has a zero entry pool but not sure about EI. I've heard that EI has nice nature trails but Windsor Hills has small cinema. Comments about the warmth of the pools seems good for both. It's really hard to choose - any experts please

Thanks
Helen

I know Emerald Island and Windsor Palms (Windsor Hills is by the same builder and similar in content to WP).

Both communities (EI & WH) get good reviews.

Emerald Island has, to me, a grandure about it. There are lots of green spaces, nature trails, clubhouse etc. Great lansdcaping - it just feels more special to me. WH (and also WP) has the better community amenities overall.

Location wise they are all similar.

I would ask myself "What am I going to do during my trip?"

If you plan to spend most of the time at the parks, do you need all the community facilties. We have only once used the communal facilities at the resort (in 5 years of travelling to the area). If we are at home we are relaxing by the pool, playing games or chiling out. If we are out at the parks, we are having fun there.

I would recommend choosing the home and owner that is right for you and not worrying too much about the community (unless you plan to stay on community for the majority of your trip). Whereever you stay you will have a great time. Enjoy.

I have stayed at both and you cannot go wrong.

Same distance to everything. Both new, both beautiful.

I agree with the comment that EI has a certain grandeur, more green spaces, etc. And is quieter.

WH has better facilities.

that's my 2 cents!

Thanks - I am currently on the villa search at the moment and the property we choose might swing it as both seem to have good reviews.

For anyone who has been to EI - is the communal pool zero entry and do they have a toddler pool (we have a 3 year old so like a communal pool so we don't need to carry our son around for hours on end)

EI does not have the zero entry pool or todler pool.

If it comes down to the pools I think WH may have it considering you have a 4yr old. But do consider how much you are going to use the facilities as if you find the perfect home on EI :confused3

Just keep doing the research and see what you find :thumbsup2
