Windsor Hills location?

I have been looking at information recently on the Windsor Hills resort - we have stayed in the past at both Windsor Palms and Emerald Island resorts and loved them both but I don't know as much about this new development.

Can any of my fellow DISers tell me what the difference in terms of distance to WDW from Windsor Hills would be? From the map I looked at it seems that it is actually further away from the parks (fairly far down Old Lake Wilson Road). We were spoiled with the quick back route shortcut along Funie Steed Road and I'm wondering if the distance/time to the parks would be roughly the same, worse or better from Windsor Hills. Also, has anyone stayed there recently that could comment on what they thought of the development?

We are staying there in a 5 bedroom villa in October. According to there web site www.windsorhillsrent.com they are only 1 1/2 miles from the entrance to the MK. It shows pictures of the resort. Also there were some other posts recently with some of the information your looking for on Windsor Hills. I am curious to know the answers to your questions too. Good luck with your search.

Hi Mousegirl!

Windsor Hills is not very far down old lake wilson road from 192. It is quick drive to the parks using the sherbeth road shortcut. When we were there in July and it took us approximately 5 minutes to get to the Animal Kingdom and maybe 10-15 minutes to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Alot depends on traffic. It is a really nice place to stay!
