Windsor Hills Dec Rental Advice

We are about to make our first foray into renting a home for a Disney trip. We have made yearly trips for the last 10 years staying on site, but in December 2009 we would like to rent a home.

More details than you need, but tradition in our home is to take each child to Disney for their 5th birthday (we have 4). Our youngest will turn 5 Dec 20, 2009...so we are planning her trip. We will stay on site a few days for her actual birthday, but we decided it would make the most sense to rent a home after that and stay in FL for the holiday. We will probably do limited Disney, but we want to keep the option available by staying in the vicinity. Windsor Hills seems like a good fit, but we are open to recommendations.

Several other family members will fly in and join us for the holiday, so we will need a 5 bedroom home/villa. I really love some of the well themed homes I have seen (Mickey's Club House and Magic Palace), and the prices are so reasonable.

Anyway, looking for any and all advice about renting at this time of year (December, Christmas, etc.), Windsor Hills, and renting in general. I notice that most rental homes only have through Nov 2009 up for renting at this point, so I am thinking Dec will become available shortly and I probably want to make a decision fairly soon?

Thanks everyone for any advice!

Renting at that time is holiday season and it will be more expensive.

Pool heat is a must so if they charge make sure you purchase it.

I think it is best to have beds for all who are in your party. No pull outs for us.

Have a wonderful vacation I think you will find the rental homes when having family members join you are a great option by having roomy common areas and private areas when they are needed.

I would approch the owners now if you want to book even if their calenders aren't showing.

We are staying at WH this Christmas and some owners will discount or even not increase their prices up to the 'holiday' rate depending on how long you are staying.

It's worth asking :)

Really? Interesting, and guess it sure would not hurt to ask. Maybe they could make it worth our while to stay the whole trip in the house rather than any of it on site? I suppose asking graciously could not pose a problem - thank you for the tip!
