Windsor Hills, $10 fee for amenities?

Hi everyone, I'm talking to a guy with at WH condo listing on VRBO right now. He is offering a good rate but in his description it mentions a $10 fee, refundable, to use clubhouse amenities.

I've never heard of this from any other owners. Has anyone else?

It is not so much a "fee" as it is a deposit for a keycard that will allow you to access the pool, arcade and gated playground. You give them $10 at the office and they will give you the card. When you return the card at the end of your stay, you get your $10 back.

Yes, it's a standard deposit. It's not the owner that is requiring it from you, it is Windsor Hills community. To access the gates at the pool and main playground and the clubhouse door, you must have an access card for which a $10 deposit is required. It's basically a safety feature, so they know people are not walking in off the street and using the pool if they are not guests on a Windsor Hills property. The deposit, I imagine, is to keep their expenses down on these cards because who would bother returning it if you didn't want to get your $10 back? If you don't plan on using the pool, clubhouse, or playground, then you won't need to pay the deposit and get one of the cards.

Not only that, but a lot of the time owners fail to mention that to their renters only for them to find out later. It may actually be a positive thing that your owner is bringing it up
