I was wondering if anyone has bought or looked at the Windows On Main Street book that is available now. I saw it on Disney Shopping a month or so ago, but it isn't showing any more. Does anyone know if it still available at the parks?

I saw it on disneyshopping.com too but when I went back to purchase it - it was gone. I was going to use my Dream Dollars to get it. Oh well. Maybe on my next trip to the park.

Well, I've put it on my list of things to look for next month. I hope to find it in the parks. Any ideas on which park / store would be best to look for it in? I'm thinking either the Emporium or the book store that is in DHS on the way back to Star Tours. :confused3

I purchased the book a few months ago. It's interesting to read about the folks depicted and the reasons why the windows say what they do - usually explaining references to their hobbies, accomplishments, etc.

My criticisms are that the photos are not very good. Some of the windows are shaded, show reflections or are taken from street level which means the angles are poor making the window difficult to see. Also, not every window in Disneyland and Walt Disney World is depicted. I'm not sure how they decided which ones to describe. Although there is a map of each park in the back of the book showing every person who has a window and its location, only a few dozen windows are described in the book.

I have taken the book to the Walt Disney Family Museum when luminaries like Marty Sklar, Richard Sherman, Blaine Gibson, Bob Gurr, Rolly Crump, etc. have been there and asked them to sign their "windows" in the book. It has prompted them to tell some interesting stories about their window and what's inscribed on it.
