Window seat for fireworks at CaliGrill?

Hi - first time w all this. I made ADR back in March for CaliGrill on our 30th WedAnniv in Sept. I'd like to get a window table (like everyone else!) for the fireworks. I know they try to make special occasions special, and I put the info on the 30th in the online res form for ADR. To ask for a window table should I call in advance? That day? Just tell the host when we show up? Res are for 7:50, fireworks at 8:00, I know that's cutting it close, but as I said I'm a newbie. Thanks!!

You won't get a window seat for the fireworks when you ressies are 10 minutes before You may not even be seated before the fireworks begin. People rarely leave their tables that close to fireworks going off...it does happen occasionally but don't count on it,

most people do leave their seats @ CAGrill to exit to the viewing platformthen return to finish their meals, our servers have always suggested it.

OP can you try for earlier (or later) seating time? you need to allow for the time it takes to check in & be escorted up, 10 minutes is really cutting it close. They do let you return to view from the platform if you have a really early dinner.

Yes most of the time this works; it would only be if restaurant was at maximum occupancy capacity that they would hold you downstairs.

The great news for you is that the restaurant almost has a tolerable noise level after fireworks when the place clears. Unless we are going with people who want to see the show from there, my husband and I always book for afterwards. The wait to be seated is usually shorter too.
