Windermere and high school?

Can anyone tell me what public high school is in the Windermere area? We finally sold our house and will be looking in this area - our oldest starts 9th grade in August, we also have a 7th grader and 2nd grader. Any info on the area schools from those who live there would be much appreciated - thanks!

There is a Public Highschool across the street from Universal Studios.
I took a wrong turn, and ended up going around the perimeter of Universal, and I noticed a big Public Highschool across the street.
Sorry, just happened to notice it, really know nothing about it.

Hmmm, not sure of public high schools in Windermere itself. I know there is at least one private high school, maybe more.

I live in Winter Garden which is the next town over, and that's where West Orange high school is. That's probably the closest.

I don't have kids yet so maybe someone who does and lives nearby can be of more help!

That is Dr Phillips High School.

Not Windermere.

Windermere is zoned into West Orange High School. Dr Phillips is the one over by Universal. Windermere is mostly a wealthy area and those kids tend to go to private schools not the public ones.

You can check both of their ratings and statistics at greatschools.net - neither one is fantastic but both seem to get higher ratings than others in Central Florida.

Thank you for your replies - I don't have an address yet, that's the problem. Trying to narrow down a realty focus to where the kids should be in school based on best public schools. We are also looking in the Tampa area and have that narrowed down to 2 public schools. Windermere elementary does well, so I was looking for a middle and high school in the area that is public. Thanks again!
