Wind closures at DCA and parade modification at DL-today

Just heard on the local radio that 2 rides are closed at DCA due to high winds. I checked online and found this

which confirms Zephyr and Silly Symphony Swings are/were closed. No surprise since Z closes during any wind at all.

Also, however, the Christmas parade today was/has been modified. They eliminated some of the higher elements. Rumor as it that the first float (ballerina), all the trees, Woody's float, Beast is gone and Pluto won't be up high on Mrs. Claus' float. Don't know if Santa is flying though.

The same link also talks about crowds being 10 out of 10 from now until Jan. 2nd.

I'm down here in San Diego but I was out at a restaurant with my friend and the power went out on the block due to high winds for about 15 minutes!!! Crazy, it didn't seem that windy to me, but clearly it was!
