wind blowin',sun shinin',Soarin'on a magical celebration!April/10: Final thoughts!

looks like you had a wonderful beach trip. I have a feeling that is what our cruise will be about--the beach! DD feel in love with it last summer and as fairly regularly to go back to the beach. :goodvibes

Great Photopass pictures!!

I said it on FB, but I sure hope Ashton is feeling much better!!

Your PP pics are so cute! I especially love the ones of Goofy hugging Ashton. And the waterpark ones look great today where the high is over 100! :rotfl:

I believe Ashton is all better with a little bit of a linger on the congestion in his chest but much better. Danny and the kids love the beach...I like it and enjoy the peace and beauty but have a problem walking in the surf...I really rather swim and see things than guess what is swimming around me:rotfl2:

he is feeling much better thank you! now, if I can get Dayne back to his old self...don't know what is going on around here (I think he may have heat exhustion but not certain--and weather he likes it or not he may be going back to the doctor) he is running a low grade fever and staying nauseated :confused3. But, no pains in his side...I'm stumped if he is still down by the end of the week I'm dragging him in.

Started trying to catch up on your thread tonight hoping I can catch up with everyone soon. I should have done that today instead of cruise shopping...:surfweb:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 on the PP pics.....GREAT shots!
Thanks! Missy
yes, it has put a damper on our summer for the last few weeks;
Danny has been enjoying the pool but Ashton and I have been out...and we finally went to see Despicable Me Friday. I thought it was a nice outing since I am still not ready to take him out in this heat.

Hello! everyone
wanted to check in...Ashton is feeling much better! Thank you everyone for your thoughts and well wishes! He spent the weekend with my parents; I brought him over so I could go get a much needed haircut and he did not want to come home. So, we both had a very nice break from one another. But, I was so happy to go pick him up this afternoon...I sure did miss him. :cutie:

We go to enroll Dayne Wednesday in the local community college (he is starting there and I hope he moves on to SELU or LSU after two years) but, whatever he decides I'll help him. I have already registered him but he chose not to take the ACT in high school so he needs to take an entrance test and schedule his classes. He asked me to go with him for the class scheduling and financial part. Right now I am thinking he is suffering from heat exhustion...he was sick two weeks before Ashton with high fever, sore throat, and STAPH. The doctor gave him a pretty strong antibotic and all responded great! But, since Friday evening he has been running a low grade fever and complaining of sore throat again. He tested negative for Strep so I'm at a loss...he does not want to go back to the doctor. He has been drinking sport drinks and Ashton's pedilyte hoping if its heat exhustion it will help. At some point I think he is going to have to suck it up and go back to the doctor:confused3

I have also been busy trying to get Ashton enrolled at the local Headstart for Speech therapy; not preschool, yet. Danny and I decided to enroll him somewhere that has a half day program in Jan. to get him use to not being home with me. Ashton, Chloe, and I are starting up our home pre-K next week when the kids start school around here. We have several workbooks, games, and fieldtrips lined up! Should be a fun year!

Hope everyone is still enjoying their summer and the kids are getting it ALL in before they start back to school (our schools start this week in our parish).
Danny and I are trying to decide how we want to end our summer (both our bdays are coming up--Danny on the 13th,mine is on the 27th; we are getting soooo old) we were thinking of another short trip to the Florida coast the weekend in between our bdays...or just a weekend on the MS coast...
we'll see...
 Connie

Oh man....now Dayne is sick too?? YUCK!!

Can you believe he is starting college? I can't believe my Dan is already in 10th grade. Time flies!

Our schools don't start here until after Labor Day so my boys are squeezing the last few weeks out of summer. We have one more camping trip planned (just a long weekend) in the Adirondacks and the younger two boys and I are going to take a short trip to visit my mom and dad before school starts. This summer has been so busy!

I hope you and Danny get a chance to get away for your birthdays. Sounds like a perfect way to end the summer. Jeff and I celebrate 18 years of marriage on the 22nd. That's the last day of our camping trip, so I'm sure we won't do anything else.

Enjoy what's left of summer! ;)

Claire startes school the 17th. It just seems so early. Summer isn't over yet. I will miss her.

Such cute photopass pics, think I like the Up characters the best.

Glad Ashton is feeling better. Hopefully, Dayne will bounce back soon and you will have both your boys back in good health.:goodvibes

Another beach weekend for you and Danny would be nice. Hmmm, that could help on getting back to disney even sooner, right?:rotfl: Birthday wishes to you both!

And please check out my new ptr!

Awesome Photopass pics Connie! The kissing one in front the castle is so sweet. I've never seen any pics with that Princess and the Frog border before. It's so cute!

Ashton is adorable as always in his photos! :goodvibes

I didn't know they did waterpark photopass pics. That's great to have candid shots like that!

Hello Missy! Everyone here is finally feeling like their old sevles again. Dayne has gone to one day of classes and goes again tomorrow and just like High School (when he started 9th grade) hates it...hopefully I can help him get over this quickly...need to figure out why he is like this and make sure I don't let Ashton get this feeling started before he starts school:confused:
Danny dad went in the hospital the weekend of his birthday so we just went out to dinner and shared a quiet weekend at home with the kids.
Congratulations! on 18 years!!! camping with the kids sounds like a fun way to celebrate (anything out of the norm... always makes me happy)

Hope Claire is enjoying school so far...we are starting something different wit Ashton soon; I'll mention it after a TR update

Thanks! for the well wishes...I think we have finally kicked all the bugs out of the house  :upsidedow

Thanks! I need to sit down and choose which photos I want printed for that wonderful 2010 photo album I bought...still have not done that ;)

I left off on day three of our vacation...we started out at Epcot and rode the boat over to Hollywood Studios.

Our last day started with an early breakfast at the POP and a quick bus ride over to Epcot. We were trying very hard to make it for rope drop. Gwendolyn and Joe had gone over a few busses before us and kept texting to see where we were. I had heard that one of the first families at the rope drop performance would be chosen for special photo shots with the Fab 5.

So, Danny and I get to Epcot make it through bag check quickly and start to proceed into the park. As we were walking we noticed Stitch and Daisy posing for pictures to our right (just before Spaceship Earth)...I figured we missed the RD (I did not know it was just outside the area where you take photos with the Fab 5) so I told Danny there is only a 5 min wait for Spaceship Earth let's get it over with. While on SE Gwendolyn texted wanting to know where we were the RD performance was just starting :scared1: but by the time we got off SE Gwendolyn and Joe were waiting for us in the interactive room (we had missed it!:sad2: ). Oh well maybe next time. So, we spent a little time here and than moved over to meet the Fab 5...we could not wait to see Donald and get some really cute shots of him and Ashton since we missed him last year.

The line was very quick and we had a great time meeting all of the characters this was a great way to meet the Fab 5 in my opinion...loved it! :mickeyjum :donald: :goofy: pluto: ::MinnieMo::

From here it was time for me to ride Mission Space! :scared1:
you need to realize that when this attraction first opened I tried so hard to talk Danny into going back to WDW just so I could ride this ride...than as the year's passed as I heard more about it ...and than they came up with two versions I was chickening out...in fact in May 2008 when we went they could not pay me to ride either version and I used Ashton needing a diaper change to get out of riding. So, today was my day! Danny had told me he would ride either version whatever I felt comfortable with, Gwendolyn and JOe kept Ashton busy in the playground area so I was off for my mission to Mars! which version would I choose...

ORANGE!!! I did it...after Danny co-nived (sp) me into riding the orange version...I really started to chicken out! I do not like to go upside down and can't stand the feeling of being dropped!

So, what did I think I LOVED IT! :thumbsup2 I had a blast
it was funny just as we were walking in another couple were riding with us and I had started chatting with the lady. I had told Danny if I had a heart attack and did not die on the ride I would kill him when I got off...she promised me that if I died of a heart attack she would finish him off for me after he carried my limp body off :rotfl: Danny and her husband were not amused...

halfway through the lift off Danny reached over and held my knee:lovestruc and asked quite a few times how I was doing:hug:...I had a few moments when I did not feel I could press the buttons as I was suppose to but other than a few anxious moments I loved it!

after our adventure to Mars we rode Test Track with Ashton, Gwendolyn, and Joe...we let Ashton ride up front with Gwendolyn and I think he did not feel as secure as if Danny and I had been riding with him.

When we got off we asked if he liked the ride, he said yes. Dayne and Luke were waiting for us by the new cars and asked him if he wanted to ride with them. His reply was "only with mommy and daddy".:cutie:

from here we all walked over to ride the boat over to DHS...my parents were waiting for us there. They had slept in and decided they did not want breakfast, they were going to wait for lunch...bet, you never guess what Dad had for lunch?!?

cont. next post with photo update...

I hope you enjoy visiting some of Futureworld with us...

our photos of the day start with our viist with the Fab 5! I'll only share a few since I already shared our Photo pass shots...

First I want to post a reminder that I have quick links in my first post for anyone that is interested...I think I posted all the links except the bday photos those would come after the beach shots...

Hope the summer is still going well for everyone! :sunny: we have started the school year. Gwendolyn started her second to last semester today! :yay: can't wait for May! Joe has signed papers on their new house; they decided on a modeluar home instead of a used trailer :thumbsup2. It will be 1800 sq feet and it should be ready just before Thanksgiving! :yay: I will be able to have my living room back for the Christmas holiday. I really like the home they have picked and what is better it is warrantied for 14 years and against 140MPH winds...my house did not come with that :goodvibes ... I did tell her that if for any reason she needs to come back; ONLY she can come back (unless they are married and they have to share a room with Ashton :rotfl2: ).

Dayne started classes Tuesday and he is doing just like he did when he started High School. He does not like it... wishes he would have sat out the first semester and wishes he had a firend or two going there with him. I hope he snaps out of it quickly :sad2:

Ashton and I plan to homeschool PreK along with Chloe...but, we will have the local public Prek come to our home for 1.5hr each week to share the local curric. with us. Ashton will also have a speech therapist come to the house once a week to work with him :yay: (that is how this all started). Twice a month he will visit the school for socialization and/or field trips; and, in January he will start classes there. They are leaving it up to me how many days and how long he will attend so I'm thinking four days and I will pick him up before lunch and nap time. This way it should help him get adjusted to being away from me and ready for Kindergarten next year.

I am also considering signing up for the local community college in January for two days a week while Ashton is in school. I am thinking I will drop him off and have my parents pick him up for me. Now, I just need to decide if I do this "what do I want to be, when I grow up?!?" the only hang up I have is that I have to start from the very beginning since I have been out of school for sooooooo long...we'll see...I need to file a new FASFA before the end of Sept if I do decide I'll keep you posted. I may just wait until next August when Ashton goes to K all day....:confused3

Have a great day! and weekend everyone!!!:flower3:
:wave2: Connie

:lovestruc Really great pics at the character stop. We missed doing that this year. I mistakenly thought it wouldn't be a big deal since we were having breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but we didn't get great pics there. Would have loved to have the fab 5 on the photopass. Oh, well. Glad you didn't miss out!

I am anxiously awaiting your US/IOA update.popcorn:: I hope you can find the pictures.

Sounds like you have alot going on at home. My Chloe just started kindergarten this year and even though she went to pre-k 3 days a week last year (5 hour days) it has been a hard adjustment. I am sure the pre-k helped, but 8 hour days really wears her out. I can't imagine if she hadn't had the pre-k; I know it would be even harder on her. So, my two cents is put him in. It can't hurt and hopefully will make the transition to kindergarten easier!:goodvibes I ask myself all the time "What am I going to do when I grow up?". It's hard to make those steps towards more school/work. Good luck! And congrats on getting that ball rolling! I hear the ticking of the clock til the time Noah is in Kindergarten (in just a year) and I have to make that decision.

I enjoyed your updates and pictures very much! Congrats on doing MS! :thumbsup2 I still haven't gotten up the nerve to do it yet. Love the FAB 5 pics.
