wind blowin',sun shinin',Soarin'on a magical celebration!April/10: Final thoughts!

WooHoo!!! You started, all right!! So glad you got all your requests!!! Ashton looked super excited to be pulling up to Disney!!

Can't wait to hear about you guys did on this first day!

Yay, for arriving to Disney! Horray, for getting what you requested. Did any of you get a refurbished room? Also, would you recommend POP? I'm thinking of booking it for a summer trip!
Ashton looks so happy to be back at Disney. He is such a cutie! You're going to have a tough time keeping him away from girls when he gets older!!:goodvibes

Sorry, I wanted to share some pictures of Ashton at the Pensacola rest stop...(I had shared a photo in this same spot last year.

We always stop at the FL rest stop for orange/grapefruit juice and all my brochures to read along the way:rotfl:

This year we had a little accident, Ashton was running and getting out some of his pent up energy...Gwendolyn and Joe were egging him on. I called him to walk with me to the restroom...he comes running out of no where and before I could catch him he ran "smack" into the left door as a man (who was on his cell phone and never once looked before opening the door  ) he had a wonderful blue, gash, and lump in the middle of his forehead(you could tell it hurt--he couldn't even cry or open his eyes he just held his head in the crook of my neck)...I really felt he had a mild concussion but he did not complain and I made sure he stayed awake for the next three hours.

OK! back to our regularly scheduled reporting...

I'm in! Can't wait to read all about it!! :cool1:
:welcome: Dee; I can't believe how big Emma is getting already...what a beautie

Seeing the beautiful Walt Disney World entranceway is one of the best sights ever!

I'm so glad that your requests were granted and you got all three rooms just as you wanted. Poor Gwendolyn looks so tired and Ashton looks full of energy bouncing around in the room.
Gwendolyn is always tired (she slept just about the entire ride there and back)...Ashton was ready to use up all that energy he had been holding in!
Joining in!
:welcome: hope I can keep it interesting...

I'm in! :thumbsup2
Did ya'll like POP?? We will be staying there for the first time this July.

Yay for your rooms being ready and what you wanted! :woohoo:
:welcome: yes, we liked the POP, better than the ASSp if for anything the bus system (although it had its problems too! more to come about that)...

We were happy with our room location we were right by the lobby; so, my parents would walk through the lobby to the food court and busses.

Awesome that ya'll got all your room requests!

Mary's here :cheer2: :thanks:

Hey Connie! I am here!!!! Great start:banana: I love that Ashton called your hotel "his Mickey House!" that was so cute. I cant wait to hear more!!

Great start Connie! Can't wait to see how the trip unfolds!

Poor Ashton! I hope his eye healed fast and he wasn't black, blue & yellow for all of the pictures!:rotfl:

I'm here Connie!!! Great start!! And YAY for getting the rooms/beds that you wanted!! I'm assuming you had MUCH better weather than last year?! I'm hoping the same for us!! :goodvibes

YAY! So amazing that all 3 of your rooms were ready!! :cool1: That is pretty much unheard of!

I am so sad that Ashton had such a shakey start. Glad he was ok, though :thumbsup2

Connie, I'm here. I can't wait to read more (I love what I read of your brief postings on FB).

Where have I been? :confused3 I completely missed you started this. :cheer2: for getting the rooms you wanted! Poor Ashton--I hope he is healed. Poor little guy.

Yay! You're there. I love Pop. FYI there are no cots to rent at Pop. (they don't even have them there) Values don't allow a cot in the room. It's something with a fire code. Only a pack and play.
I have been debating on the 50's are next trip. Where abouts were you? We like the poolside in 60's, but was thinking of changing it maybe next trip.

Hey! Jen
our room number was 1453,51, & 49...we were facing the parking lot. But, it was so quiet and nice and close to the elevator (which was nice for my parents and the evenings) and the bldg location was close enough to classic hall for my parents. It was nice too because we were right by the bowling pin pool just off the elevators. I would think either side of the bldg we were in would be nice. Ashton would have probably loved being on the first floor facing the pool. I would have to say for the lay out of the property I would have to request the 50's section again in the future (just my preference for the quiet pool-still close to the main pool and children's pool and close to Classic Hall).

So, you guys decided to go back next year :mickeyjum
BTW how is your DH doing with his hips since his surgery?!?
:wave2: Connie

no offical plans yet, but we're pushing for Dec.
His hip is just OK. He is still having pain and they found he has a peice that is too big sticking out and a muscle is pulling on it. The only way to fix it is to redo it. I am not happy about that. He is letting it go for now, but I am really ticked off about the whole thing. The Dr said he would have to put a smaller peice in if he re did it. this guy is supposed to be great and never has problems and the one time he does it's us.

I was going to try and do another part of Saturday but photobucket is giving me fits...maybe later tonight. Today, I ran a few errands (had to buy moneycards for all Dayne's friends) and I mailed out Dayne's HS graduation announcements...I can't believe my baby boy is graduating already. He has developed a sudden interest in becoming a Wildlife and Fisheries Agent:confused3 (each month it is something else:laughing: --he'll figure it out soon I guess). So, I have been researching what he needs to go to school for in order to achieve this career?!?

Hey Nickie, happy you found me!:cutie: He has been asking every morning if we can ride the mickey bus...I have to figure out a way to get back there sooner than 2014/15 :lmao:
Great start Connie! Can't wait to see how the trip unfolds!

Poor Ashton! I hope his eye healed fast and he wasn't black, blue & yellow for all of the pictures!:rotfl:
He did not complain too much about his head but if you closely at the picture in his car seat you can see part of the gash...but, it was covered nicely by his hair:thumbsup2

much much much better...one rainy night...the weather was either sunny, slightly overcast, and very windy our entire week

YAY! So amazing that all 3 of your rooms were ready!! :cool1: That is pretty much unheard of!

we were so excited; last year only one of our rooms was ready (but, that was nice too. We were able to get everything in our of the hot cars)

I'm here, I'm here. Loving it so far, keep it coming :surfweb:.
:tink: Dana's found me! :tink:  they capped one leak today and one to go!! and the oil appears to be heading west away from the beaches...I just wish they would hurry up and figure out a way to keep it out of the marshes and off the LA & TX coast, now!
I've made it Connie! Going back to read now. :goodvibes
Hello! Leanne
hope things are getting better for you guys up there!
Connie, I'm here. I can't wait to read more (I love what I read of your brief postings on FB).
Hello! Kathy Thanks! about FB I was trying and not doing a very good job like Nickie's DH; he did an awesome job with his updates!
Where have I been? :confused3 I completely missed you started this. :cheer2: for getting the rooms you wanted! Poor Ashton--I hope he is healed. Poor little guy.

I'm sorry Stephanie I should have sent out a PM to everyone but didn't even think about it...I have been having fits with photobucket...I get kicked off each time I try to open "VIEW ALL" and I'm too impatient to seach 20 pics at a time :rotfl2:

I'm glad to hear yall actually got your requests filled. It's always pretty cool when it happens. So sorry to hear about Ashton and his accident.

I'm looking forward to reading more.

Connie, Dayne will change his mind numerous times before he finally settles -- believe me I know. Andy went for a degree in journalism or broadcasting; he did get his Communications B.A., but he is NOW back at school to get his teaching certificate (he starts student teaching in September) and he is paying for it. Markie started out wanting to be a P.E. teacher; then he was going to be an elementary school teacher; he will graduate in 2011 with a degree in Health Wellness (in other words, he can be a personal trainer and do physical therapy); once he graduates, he will come back home and get his teaching certificate. It is best he just get the classes done that he must do his first year.
