Win an "Innoventions Dream Home"

::yes:: Thanks!! An Interventions house..... ;)

If I am reading the rules correctly the value of the home prize portion was $200k...when looking at the different communities available I couldn't find any that were within that range. I wonder if you would actually come out a winner by the time you paid the difference due on the house and the taxes? It just seems like if they are going to advertise "Win A Dream Home" you should actually be able to get a home...LOL.

Now -- did that keep me from entering? Heck no!!! Thanks for the link Geef. :goodvibes

PS: How many of us selected Orlando?

Okay - I've entered & selected Orlando as our community!:cool1:

thanks for sharing!!!

Geek that I am :surfweb:, I calculated the minimum, maximum, and average prices in each of the Taylor home communites. Some of the homes are actually townhomes, so the cheapest house in each community may not be what everyone wants.

I also compared the FHA mortgage limit and the cost of living for each community, as well as the distance to the nearest Disney park.

Not unexpectedly, the California communities tended to the high end of the list regarding cost and the Florida communities tended to the low end of the list. My vote went for Jacksonville due to having the lowest minimum and average cost combination. And Jacksonville is only 141 miles from Orlando, just enough to keep Disney "special" to me and make me feel I'm not wasting the money I just spent on AKL DVC. :)

Realistically, I'd probably have to sell the house in order to pay the taxes if I won it, so I should have looked to see which areas are the best real estate wise. I'll leave that homework to the class :lmao:

bluecruiser -- I just knew somebody would get a spreadsheet going! I hope you'll get to find out firsthand whether or not your numbers are correct. Good Luck! :goodvibes

Anyone know the code so that you can enter the maximum number of times with just one entry (instead of having to enter every day)?

wow, thanks for this! My husband and I are going to be buying a house next year and we are trying to decide if we will stay in Upstate New York or move back to Texas (to be close to my family) so I chose Austin, Tx as the community I would want my dream house to be in! If we won, we would definitely have more incentive to move back to Texas! weeeeeeeee!!!

thanks again, I'm going to enter every day! :thumbsup2 :yay:

I picked the Orlando area. I never plan on moving from Chicagoland, but I can sell the home and buy DVC points!:cool1:

You know what is so sad about it though? As I was reading the rules and what the actual prize was, I was most excited about the trip to Disneyland. Maybe instead of entering a contest to win an Innoventions Dream House I should find a "win a trip to Disneyland" contest", no?
