I bought two packages of Wilton dark transfers from Michaels. I made 7 shirts and followed the directions to a t (yes i prewashed and dryed the shirts as well)! The transfers printed out great and ironing was simple. However, I did the first wash and the transfers turned out to wrinkle up, bleed, come up in the corners, and the color rubbed off in lots of spots on all of the shirts! I am very dissapointed I wasted all that time and money. Does anybody have any suggestions for better transfers and/or is there a way to peel off the old transfer to save the teeshirt?

I did some searching on this thread and "amys transfers" come up as good anybody have the link to purchase these??

I used them and they are much better than several other transfer papers that I purchased at Wal-mart, Hobby Lobby and office supply stores. The only thing to watch out for is red t-shirts!!! If your iron is too hot...the red will bleed through. I recommend not using red t-shirts and use 100% cotton. Although the 50/50 blend works too...I just liked it better on the 100% cotton.

Hope that helps!

has anybody had any luck w/ any transfers that can be purchased at joanne or michaels?

I've had good results with the Avery transfers for dark shirts, and less with the Avery for white/light shirts.
