Wilson, nc?

Has anyone ever stayed in Wilson NC driving from the north? They have a Fairfield Inn there that looks great and got good reviews...BUT I would love to hear from someone who has stayed from the DIS...lol~ Thanks!

Oh thank you! We usually stay down the road about 17 miles at the Residence Inn Rocky Mount but this Fairfield was a whole lot cheaper...lol! Are there restaurants nearby? Any recommendations?

Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, fast food; further into Wilson are more chains and locally owned places. There's Carolina Cheese Company, Country Kitchen, etc.

When I win the lottery, I'm gonna buy some land along 95 between Wilson and Smithfield and open a hotel and restaurant with special deals for DISers. Maybe even have some lime green mickey head billboards. LOL!

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Wilson 2 years ago-brand new, comfy-a Cracker Barrel was about 2 minutes away.
