Willing to proxy at events for out-of-towners

Hi All,

Some of you know me, some of you don't - I'm Raul & GotAnyPins' Baby Girl (that's what Raulandpinboy calls me!). It just occurred to me that I'm not after the pins for the MGM & AK events (the only one I really want is Ariel - just one for my daughter), so I don't have any reason to attend either event. However, if anybody needs somebody to attend for them, we're available for sponsoring. Crystal, oneohone - DD, & Heather, mermie - DD, are available as well. Oh, and Yardhaunter, DH, and Brooke, Poohtrader - DD.

So, if we can help, just say the word...

I apologize, but I should've been more specific in my original post. My family and I are annual passholders, so park entrance is no problem. But I can't afford the event entrance. Now, I AM NOT just looking for someone to buy my way into the event. I'm really offering to try and make a special time for someone else vicariously. The way I look at it, I (or we) would be responsible for ensuring the sender's good time - not ours, necessarily. We'd have a good time going through the park, and doing the hunt for the sender, etc, but (for me) it would be important to be mindful of why I was there. I just wanted to make sure that I was specific enough.

I'm sorry - again - but I'm just not saying this right. OK: yes - I and/or any of the family are available to go to the AK or MGM pin events. Yes - We would need to be sponsored (have the entrance fee paid). But - no - I don't want anyone to get the impression that I'm just looking for someone to pay my way into the event so I get to have a good time at someone else's expense without having to pay my own way in. I think, perhaps, that I was so worried about not coming across like I was....uhm....grifting(?)..that I didn't state the obvious. I'm sorry about all the confusion - really.

I'm not dense (no, Raul, this is NOT your cue to jump in!). It's just really important to me that I make very clear that I'm not offering to do this because I get something material out of it per se. I don't. We're just looking to help someone who could perhaps afford the entrance into the event and whatever pins they wanted and can't (or doesn't want to) afford the expense of a trip and a stay. That said, we'd be happy to help!

Gosh, I hope I got it right this time. If you think this is bad, you should see me execute a 3 point turn! Thanks for tolerating me!

Yeah - I get to go to the MGM event for someone! I know a few of you emailed me toask for any extra pins. If my sponsor doesn't mind, I'd be happy to pick up any remaining extras. I'll take the email requests in the order that they arrived. We're a few days out from finalizing what pins I need to get for my sponsor, but I'll email you as aoon as I know what's available. I'm so looking forward to getting all the pins and goodies for my sponsor - it's like spreading the magic!!

I'm still available to go to the AK event for someone. I was thinking: if it turns out that someone wishes to sponsor me to go for them, I don't think that individual should shoulder all the cost of the event alone. If I go for someone, sure, they get all the goodies, but they don't get dinner, so I should foot part of the cost - that's only fair. Please email me if you're interested in sponsoring me - I'd be happy to get all the goodies for you!!

The rest of the family is still available to help as well!

Well, once Lauree's family is taken, remember that I am looking to be a personal shopper as well. It went really well for my first sponsor, Renee. Hopefully she will get a chance top post as soon has her pins find their way to her.

If we don't get to shop for someone, don't worry we get to do all the other fun things of the day, we just don't get to stay in the exclusive indoor pin trading area. We still get to do the maps and such.

After my adopted family is all covering someone I will offer to go too. I am going on the May cruise so that one is out but the others are up for reservation.
