We will be staying at Wyndham Kinsgate in Williamsburg for a week in June. What grocery stores are near by? Is there a McDonalds close by to get my morning ice coffee?

There is a Walmart for groceries. We stayed at green springs resort and there is a McD's not far from there. Love Williamsburg. Planning an Aug trip there right now.

There is also Trader Joes in Newtown and Harris Tetter off of 199. If you are looking for a good restaurant...Food for Thought!

There is a lot of stuff around. Ton's of places to eat, food stores and outlet stores.

There is a Food Lion and a Walgreens not far from Kingsgate, and we found all we needed there. You have to go off the main drag outside the resort, but very doable. Get directions at the front office. There is also a Golden Corral extremely close, which my kids loved. Chipotle is just down the street, and Kmart is on the same road as the resort, right before you get to the main road. We stayed there in 2013 and were very happy with the location - it was convenient to everything. Look at the Colonial Williamsburg site for great deals on the attractions: we got the Bounce Pass and it was worth every penny. When we go back, we'll probably get the Flex Pass, as we ended up buying admission to some of those places as well.

We went to the Harris Tetter off 199 and had no issues. Have to put in a plug for Second Street - wonderful restaurant! We ended up going there twice in our short stay because everyone loved it (grandparents down to the kids). Great fooThe 4 layer chocolate cake is amazing!
