Watching a special on the wedding. They are having 600 guests. Think there is a place in WDW large enough for them? That's where a prince and princess should get married. Can't wait to see her dress.

He He!! :lmao: I can't see HM The Queen agreeing to that!!!
I am so looking forward to watching the wedding. It is the day before we leave to go to the airport for our VR trip so I intend to have everything packed and ready to go so as I can sit all day and watch on the television. I have told DH there will be no dinner that day - have to have a take away!!! Had it not been so close to our trip, I would have gone to London to join in the festivities!!!

I'm so glad that they've given us a bank holiday for the wedding woohoo! Word on the street is that they are concerned for Kate's safety in the carriage due to all the recent protesting and the minority of yobbs causing destruction in London because of the cuts. It must be quite a worry for poor Kate :(

Im LOVING the bank holiday too:goodvibes

I think its disgusting that Kates day could be ruined for a couple of yobs although Ive heard rumours that police will have much more powers on that day to protect our future King and Queen!

I am DYING to know what a Yob is!!!! It rolls off the tongue so nicely, and I would like to start using it in sentences. But I have to understand it first!!! :rotfl:

Lorraine Kelly was talking about the protesters/yobs/eejits the other morning, she reckons they wont get anywhere near them for all the lovely old ladies in theirs hats that have been waiting a long time on this Royal wedding - ha ha I have visions of all these people getting attacked by handbags! Love it!

In all seriousness its such a shame that this could even happen but I dont think it will, they will have a beautiful day - obviously their wedding will be nothing in comparison to our amazing Disney ones!

LOL - a yob is a complete idiot who has nothing better to do than cause trouble in the form of either violence, vandalism or just cause emotional distress to others. Think of a football hooligan... YOB!!! lol!

I think that the origin of this expression (which as above poster says means a troublemaker, a vandal or who is rude and displays socially unacceptable behaviour), is that it is 'boy backwards' ie a backwards boy!!!:lmao:

We are getting married in July and my Fiance is William and I am Katie, haha so everyone in my family keeps saying this is the year of William and Kate! :woohoo:

Oh, they should get married in Disney Paris! Too bad they already have a venue :rotfl:

So cute :goodvibes

BTW - Why don't Canadians get a holiday...the Royal Family is tied to us as well :headache:

You cannot get married at DLRP!!!
I think France enforces a forty day residency order on couples wanting to be married in their beautiful country!!
I guess they may make an exception for Wills and Kate though :goodvibes

OMG - I am going to start using that word - yob! I know several yobs (troublemakers/idiots) at work. :rotfl: Thank you both for the explanation!!

As for April 29th - it's the day after my birthday - so instead of taking off the 28th (a Thursday), I've decided to take off the 29th (since it's a Friday) and giving myself a 3-day weekend. I've already told DH that if they televise the wedding here in the States - I will be watching it. I was on vacation when Diana & Charles got married back in 1981 and I watched it too. Actually we were visiting my cousin who was getting married the next day and we were glued to the TV watching "the wedding".
