Will you skip hollywood studios on your next trip?

Nope. We're going to do at least 2 partial days there on our 11 day trip in July. Our favorite rides are there, and I'm also excited about the Star Wars fireworks, and to meet the characters in Launch Bay. I've also never seen Fantasmic! so hoping to see that next trip.

Skipping for sure. Too much to do at MK, EP and now that AK should be a full day park, HS just isn't worth it for us. We'll wait until things settle down over there in the year 2087.

ToT is my favorite ride, and I love seeing Fantasmic still. We are Star Wars fans and look forward to the new "teaser" offerings. So, no we will not skip it in June. I did, however, opt for hoppers and plan to take a nice midday break this time.

We get the park hoppers so no reason to skip it. It wouldn't be a trip to Disney without Rock N Rollercoaster and Toy Story Mania. If I didn't have park hoppers I may be more inclined to skip it. We go for 14 days (10 of those park days) so we'll go for a few partial days.

No - Star Tours, the Star Wars fireworks and seeing Fantasmic is enough to get my family over there. Ironically I'm having trouble getting them to go to Epcot.

Nope. It is currently my least favorite park, but there are still things I love. We have park hoppers too. We will actually start the day there and head to MK about 3:00 probably.

We're going, but it will be a short day, with an early lunch at SciFi. We plan on taking the boat over to EPCOT for some WSC shopping.

Nope! It's my favorite low-key park. My favorite thing to do there is ride ToT as many times as I can handle and then wander around the rest of the day.

The only thing I'm really sad about is the loss of some of the Streetmosphere characters, and that might make a difference...but I won't know until I try!

We've been skipping it for quite some time, now.

We did go see the Osbourne lights in 2015.

I really didn't routinely do the things that are being "gutted", so it doesn't effect me. TSM, TOT, R&RRC are still there as are most of the Streetmosphere people. It's all good.

It looks like Hollywood Studios is going to be gutted for a while. Will you bother going, or will you spend your time elsewhere? I'm debating- we have six day tickets for our next trip but I'm not sure Hollywood Studios is worthwhile because so few attractions are open and the ones that are will probably have very long lines.

Nope. We won't ever skip HS. It is our 2nd favorite park behind MK. We stayed all day and closed the park in the rain on our last trip. It is worth it to us just for TSM, RRC, ToT, and Star Wars. We rode Star Tours multiple times and all the others at least twice.

They've closed two attractions. Everything else is open. Hardly gutted in my opinion.

If you had asked me 6 mos ago, I would have said yes, I'm skipping. But all of a sudden, we have become a big Star Wars household so my kids are very much looking forward to all of the SW stuff. The last time we were there (2013) they didn't even know SW existed. We may actually go to HS twice since we have PH this time.

DHS is my favorite park and it and Magic Kingdom are the only two parks that are "must visits" for each trip. That's not to say that we don't enjoy Epcot. I absolutely love it and it is my six-year-old daughter's favorite park, but my husband hates how it has really been neglected and can easily get irritated when we are there, so it is the park we are second most likely to skip. Animal Kingdom is skipped most trips and if not skipped, certainly done the least amount.

Anyway, no, not skipping DHS. Great Movie Ride is my favorite ride in all of Disney and Tower of Terror is right up there with it. My daughter is finally going to be tall enough to ride RNRC and she is very excited about that. We all really enjoy Star Tours and can't miss that. I also can't imagine a trip where we don't eat at Sci Fi, 50's Prime Time, or Mama Melrose. We have to dine at at least one of those places if not two or even all three. And Fantasmic! Many have said that it is overrated and that's just fine with me because it means I am more likely to find a good seat in the theater when I watch it. No WDW vacation is complete without seeing Steamboat Willie steer the boat while all of the characters wave as they go by (and how cool is it that he is in black and white?). Oh and One Man's Dream! I love that. And we are fans of Disney Junior Life on Stage, as well. No way I'm skipping that park. No way.

Same here. My DD6 (7 in 18 days, yes she's counting down) has recently become a Star Wars fan. She rode Star Tours on our trips last year and the year before but hadn't seen any of the movies yet. Now she's seen some of them, so I know she'll be into all the new Star Wars offerings when we go back next year.

Side note, am I the only person who kind of misses the Backlot tour? My parents & I were chosen to be in the show back in 2011 so I have some nostalgic love for it.

It will be a must do for us. Our little one is in love with Sofia the First so we have to go for her. We'll probably check out a lot of the Disney Jr. stuff plus some of the shows we never stopped to do before.

Not a chance! Some of our favorite rides are there, and we love Indy. In fact, we are going again on our last day to hit our favorite rides again before heading home.

We are headed there for a half day on our next trip primarily for some Star Wars stuff. We used our Tier 1 FP+ for RnR, and won't be there until the afternoon, so we might have to skip Toy Story. But we'll still do all these things, which is plenty for us:

  • RnR
  • Indiana Jones Show
  • Star Wars stage show
  • Launch Bay
  • Star Tours
  • Star Wars fireworks
  • Tower of Terror
  • Maybe Little Mermaid show (I have boys, so they'd probably rather just ride Star Tours again instead)
With 6 park days, I think I would go ahead and do HS. Especially if you have hoppers. Even without hoppers, 6 days allows 2 each at MK and Epcot and one day each at AK and HS. And if you combine rope drop and FP+, you can still do a lot.
