Will you get a Flu Shot?

Yes, I will get one again this year. They offer them at school for us. USed to be free,, but now we pay. Last year they didn't and I got the flu - yes the real respiratory flu, not the gatrointestinal imposter. I am not high risk, but with teaching first graders and visiting my Mom and Dad who are both high risk, I don't want to take the chance.

Yes, we all get them as soon as they come out. With both of the kids having respiratory problems, we do everything we can to be proactive about illness.

Last year, DH and I each got flu shots before there was a problem with the one supplier. DD and DS were able to get theirs because they were already on the list at their pediatrician's. The kids' pediatrician only purchases from the American supplier, so had plenty of dosages, but limited DD to one dose instead of the two she should have had under normal circumstances.

No. I never have had the shot and have never had the flu. I do have my ds get a flu shot. I wouldn't take chances with him. I have heard the flu is just unbearable.

Yes, I will get one. I have a weak immune system and tend to catch just about everything. I'm going for mine on October 11.

My son just got one Wednesday.
The ped told me that they are expecting a shortage again this year.
I'm not really sure why my son got it. He is having a procedure on October 11th to repair a hole in his heart..but he is otherwise healthy..maybe to guard against infections afterwards? The ped told me that "with his heart, we'll give him a flu shot this year"
I really have no idea, but was happy that he was offered one.
