I know you love AKL, but VWL was pretty cool this trip. I really loved it. We used the boats a lot and it was actually pretty hard to pack up and go to the BWV. Well, not THAT hard.

I too love the France movie. However, it sometimes gives me motion sickness so I usually have to focus on one screen. I am such a wimp.

The same thing happens to me. All of a sudden I feel dizzy and go "woo". It's a weird feeling cause its so unexpected. So, no, you are NOT a wimp!

I have to tell you a funny story that you will appreciate. I was up to my dad's a few weeks ago. I was picking the grapes off his grapevine and eating them. He told me there was a whole bunch in his fridge. He has a building seperate from his house I call his doghouse--he calls it his mancave. I could live in it just fine. His fridge in there is full of grapes that he is making into wine. Had no idea he even drank wine. We continue our conversation and get on this moonshine distillery in Tennessee Tom and I had been too. I thought the stuff tasted horrible but Tom loved it. Only problem was we were there on Sunday, leaving on Sunday, and there were no sells on Sunday. My Dad then tells me has several batches going in his stills in the barn. Geez, he was not only making wine but now has 2 moonshine stills. Thank goodness it is legal in KY. So, if you are ever down in Ohio, I won't have wine at home but could take you to my dad's and we could have homemade wine and moonshine.

That's awesome! I love it! You know I want to do the Kentucky bourbon tours. It's on my list and I am trying to figure out how Denny and I can fit it in at the end of next summer. So, heck yeah - I'm up for home made wine and moonshine!

Had no idea you could drive on Daytona Beach. We usually hit the gulf side if we go to the ocean in Florida.

It's really cool. Doesn't get anymore convenient than that. I love not having to find a parking space.

Wow, what a rude CM at BW. I agree about the parking lot. However, we figured out that it was quicker to go around the pool area to it then the lobby. It is closer to where you can park your cars.

I think I saw her again on this trip, but instead a got Jim from Lansdale, Pa (I used to live there so that was fun).

The Boardwalk is much better when you don't have a car.

Hoping to see Illuminations in November. We have only seen it once.

Sorry its taken me so many days to get back on the DIS. I actually have been super busy and work and have had something to do every night these past week.

Now we are preparing for Sandy.

I am going to try to get all my replies done and maybe another update before the power goes out.

Please forgive me for being so far behind on everyone's wonderful TRs. I promise to catch up as soon as I can.

Sounds like a perfect day

It did turn out to be pretty much the perfect day. Yummy breakfast, fun DIS meet, and too many laughs with Cynthia and Pat in our Halloween costumes. Good times!

Fun fun fun!!! Can't wait to hear about the Halloween party.

I think our costumes were a hit. Cynthia nailed it with the choice and the work she did. The only thing I'll say is wigs were involved and mine was so itchy by the end of the night I had to take it off.

We had so much fun! It was a great trip. I really enjoyed it. F&W was a blast. Girl's trips are so fun and we got to hang out with Poolrat Pat much more than I anticipated, so that was great. We were quite the threesome!!!

The party was so much and you are going to crack up when you see our costumes. They were quite a hit and we can thank Cynthia for that. I was skeptical about dressing up, but it turned out to be so fun!

I'm considering starting the girls trip TR before I finish this one. I usually don't do two at the same time. Maybe you can give me some pointers for organizing multiple TRs!!!!!!!

I just have to post this - I got to meet both Mary Ellen and Cynthia (among others) for the first time this trip. They are two of the nicest, friendliest people around!!! They have been having a great time and we bumped into them a few times (some unplanned). I feel so lucky to have met so many DISers on this trip!

Sheree - we are so happy to have met and gotten to know you as well. You have a lovely family and I know you guys had a great trip. It really was an awesome time to travel and to meet other DISers. It is pretty funny that we kept running into you, even when we didn't realize it (ie the Poly Pool).

I'm so envious of all the people who went this last week!! Did you get to meet up with Brook and meet little Henry? I love that you got to spend some time with Pat.

We did meet Pat and all the other DIsers that I was hoping to meet. However, we did not get to meet Henry or Joe. They were off doing something else and Brook didn't think Henry would adjust to leaving what he was doing without a potential meltdown. So, sorry we missed him, but so happy to meet a bunch of wonderful DISers.

Thanks Pam. I did take a quick cat nap on the plane, but the skies were so clear that once we hit the Chesapeake bay region my eyes were glued to the topography. I wanted to know what each landmark was. I am such a map geek and wished I could pick out different things.

We had such a GREAT time! I really had a blast. It was really a different type of trip and I absolutely loved F&W. It was right up my alley. I can't wait to do it again!

I read your rope drop update this morning -- sometimes unhurried mornings at Epcot are the best! I agree with Cynthia -- having a boat to yourself would be both cool and weird!

From someone in south Mississippi who experiences hurricanes most every year, we are 60 miles inland and although we do not get storm surge, we get plenty of rain and wind...so expect the unexpected. Gas up the vehicles; stock up on water, bread, canned goods, ice and batteries; fill the bathtubs with water; make sure generators & chain saws are in good operating condition; get all patio/outside furniture indoors and make sure your BBQ equipment is ready to go (fill propane tanks or buy extra charcoal). Saying a prayer for you and yours. Stay safe MEK.

One reason is if it floods and you lose water, you can still flush your toilet.
