D.D.

We'll be there! :wave2: Been so busy trying to figure out EMH's that I forgot Valentine's Day was in there somewhere! Our family is up for suggestions too.~:p~

Us too and right now we're still clueless. We're still trying to tie down the beginning of our vacation when we'll be a magical gathering with some friends - they don't understand it needs to be decided before we go. I'm grateful we're going in Feb. cause I can't imagine trying to get a PS for 9 one month before the trip any other time of year.

I'll be there on Valentine's day as well. One thing to remember is that any PS you make for that day you will need a credit card to guarantee it.

puckerup:

My family of 4 will be starting Valentine's Day with a late breakfast at Cindy's Castle ... and ending the day with dinner at LeCellier and an Illuminations Cruise.
Looking forward to seeing the MK Valentine's decorations ... we were there in 1996 and they had heart shapes out of balloons, etc.

No, Not this year. :guilty:

Last year we were at the Disiney Hilton Head resort, the year before we were at BCV at WDW, The year before that we were on the Disney Wonder. Could not make it happen this year (we will be on the Disney Magic in April :D ).

Hopfully we will be doing disney again for valentines day 2006.

We like doing a special valentines dinner. At Artists Point two years ago the waiter presented DW with a carnation after dinner (an nice touch).

Also look for special valentines day limited edition pins for collecting and trading.

Have fun

Try calling Dining and asking them about the Valentine's Day dinners - several resorts have special meal choices, some of them seem great for families. We're going to spend the morning at Epcot (I think. Glad to hear about the decorations!), then we'll duck over to OKW to have a nice dinner for two (with champagne!) at Olivia's, then over to the MK.

Personally, I am really looking forward to it. I have a feeling MK will be pretty popular that night, since I think it's the last night that week when both Specto and Wishes will be on the same night...

"I think it's the last night that week when both Specto and Wishes will be on the same night..."

Friday the 18th will also have Spectro and Wishes according to disneyworld.com, but that is also the first night of President's Day weekend, the crowds will have arrived....:worried:

We'll be there. We have Cindy ressies at 8:05am. Don't know what we will do in the evening. I'm open to suggestions.

I just told my husband today that we should go on Valentine's and then I saw this post. Any info. from people that have been there before during this time would be helpful. Is everything extra packed? I heard Feb. in general is very empty, but I guess Valentine's is popular, especially at MK??

I've been there on Valentine's Day. It wasn't bad at all.

My husband & I will be there too!!
We will be spending the day in the Magic Kingdom--didn't know they would have decorations...that's cool. We will be having afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian--which is a tradition every time we are at WDW. I have a surprise carriage ride at POR planned & then a late dinner at California Grill to hopefully catch Wishes.
I also have Feralpeg doing a surprise Valentines basket for us to be delivered on Feb 13th with wine glasses etc so that we can then get a bottle of wine to take on our carrige ride.
Can't wait................ puckerup:

Well I guess I get the least romatic award!! LOL  We are planning on MK on sun. so Mon. was to be AK during the day and Epcot at night w/ a PS at Beirgarten, I have been thinking of changing it to Rose and Crown hoping to get Illuminations viewing. We will have our 3 kids (9 :earboy2: 5 :earboy2: and 2 princess: )with us so I am just looking for a really nice night where the kids will be happy, therefore we will be happy. I am going to have something delivered from the florist on Sun. for the family, we are staying at the poly. Does anyone have any ideas for a family,we really are not interested in babysitting. I would miss them too much, after all it is a family vacation and we can go out alone when we get home. :wizard:

We will also be there on Valentine's Day..... Yikes..... hadn't even given it any thought. I guess I better plan something.

We'll be there too on Valentine's Day with our 18 year old son. He and his girlfriend broke up recently, so I don't think I'll make a big deal about Valentine's Day. I don't want to make him feel worse than he's already feeling! Oy.

We were supposed to take a Disney Cruise that week and we were taking the girlfriend with us. He and the girlfriend broke up about a week ago. We decided it wasn't going to be much fun just the three of us, so I canceled. Cost me $800!!! If I had waited one more day, it would have been $1500!

Since we have airline tickets to Orlando, we've decided to go and do the parks. It's more to do for the three of us than the cruise.

Sorry, I got off topic!!!

We will also be at WDW on Valentine's Day!

We have a PS at Le Cellier for dinner that night. I didn't realize Disney had special dining packages for Valentine's Day. I should have known! ::yes::

Our two kids will be with us, so dinner won't be terribly romantic, but I don't think my DH and I have ever had a romantic Valentine's dinner!

As of now on V-day we'll be at MK until after lunch then onto something else, not sure what. Nothing romantic planned, we'll have our 3 little Mickey's with us (our 3 young boys :teeth: ).

I had to edit my answer, we're not eating at the Rainforest Cafe now, not sure where we're eating dinner that day... :) (Plans keep on changing!)

Antmaril and Basoongirl and SuzyQue and cinderella97:

Have you noticed that alot of Michigan people go to WDW in Feb.? I guess we all want to get away from this freezing weather.

antmaril.... Sorry to hear about your DS and his GF and about losing the money. That is good that you are still going to WDW though. :)

"Have you noticed that alot of Michigan people go to WDW in Feb.?"

Our schools are on "Mid-winter Break" the week we go. My DD's are both in college, but the older one is doing her student teaching in the Plymouth-Canton school district and she'll be off then. Of course the other one who is at Wayne State doesn't have her break then (that would be too convenient), so she'll be playing catch up when she returns.~::yes::~
