Will Xmas decorations still be up during the race?

Just curious if they keep the decorations up for the race or do they come down before? We are hoping to do the Marathon weekend in 2008 and wonder if the Xmas decorations will still be up

Last year most decorations were up and "magically" came down during the weekafter the marathon. The Osborne Lights are on display until marathon Sunday this year. Last year I remember running around the tree at Epcot for the 1/2, and it was gone by the following Tuesday. Having said that, there is a good chance the same will hold true for the '07 event. I believe the '08 event is scheduled for 1/10 - 1/12/2008, so that may be pushing the envelope for having the decorations! Anyway, good luck in training and we'll see you in '08!

Oh yikes.... is it going to be that late in 2008......I was hoping for the weekend before.

Anyone know when the info will officially be released?

It was released in October with our race books, which are avaiable electronically online. Here's teh WDW Marathon site. You can get it from there.

It will be the 10th to teh 13th, which means 5K on teh 11th, Half on the 12th, Full on the 13th.

This year, the park decorations were up, but not the resorts. Likely won't see anything in 08. Just my guess.
