Yes, I believe we will, possibly as early as tomorrow for our US friends who are Disney VISA cardholders. Rumors for the general public are for it being released Monday for the month of September.

The person saying that FD is on it's way is someone who has an amazing track record of valid rumors. What he's not sure of is the actual release date. That's still up in the air but the earliest possible date for Disney Visa cardholders is tomorrow.

Just thought I'd rub it in by saying I already have Free Dining for the end of August! Ok...it was a Bounceback promotion from last year but still...

Good luck to those waiting. Free Dining will work out well for our larger group and my frugal parents. Without the promotion, my parents would choose the cheapest thing on the menu even though I'm paying.

It didn't come out today so the next possible release date they're looking at is Monday. Disney offers always come out to Disney VISA cardholders first then the general public 3 days later so you'll have lots of time to prepare.

I am obsessively stalking the Free Dining Discussion over on the resorts board. Will post here when there is any new news. Hopefully the news will come soon.

We decided against the August trip for a number of reasons (and it doesn't look FD would be offered for late August anyway). Staying onsite or off for our planned February trip will hinge on free dining pin or a really good discount. I'm not worried either way. Plenty of offsite places to try if I don't get one (though I always seem to).

We've got a room only ressie booked for the end of August at ASMu through Orbitz but we are hoping for free dining to be released so we can book for September. Its our 10th anniversary and we want to be there on our actual anniversary (Sept.) but we still want to save money. Soooo I'm hoping it gets released soon.

Latest info from the resorts board (free dining discussion) is that Free Dining will be released to Disney Visa holders May 1 and to the General Public on May 5. The current feeling is that this release will be for September dates. Dates later in the fall will likely be released July/Aug.

'Heard thru the grapevine that Disney may be coming out with free dining thru December sometime this week or next. I will let you know as soon as
I hear anything, are you Disney Visa card holders? The rumors are that they will release it to cardholders first.'
Of course as Canucks, we don't get that visa, but it's potentially coming!

I'm feeling pretty paranoid-y about free dining disappearing. Disney didn't extend it last year or this year for spring, reversing the direction of years previous. Between that and their unusually brazen pricing bumps the last two years, they may have decided that attendance is now regularly strong enough that they can give up free dining altogether. Or at least omit it one year to see what the fallout is.

But probably I'm just nuts -- at least I hope that's the case. I'm already done with deluxes because of the room hikes and dollar activity; frankly, pricing vacations these days at a mod or value without free dining comes out to price I don't yet feel up to paying.

Yes, as far as I know, but there are blackout dates during Canadian Thanksgiving/Columbus day weekend.

October dates may not be released for FD in this go round. You may have to wait until July/August timeframe to see those dates released. The current thinking is the upcoming release is for September maybe the first part of October.

I'm hoping Disney does something unusual and releases FD for everyone up to December. Maybe make it a short period of time the offer is available for booking. But that's just me.

Unfortunately there are sections of time that are blacked out. (My week of holiday in particular). Congrats to those who are able to take advantage of the offer. It will be available to us Canadians May 7.

If your dates also happen to be blacked out lets make some noise and see if the Disney God's will make Free Dining available through individual PIN's or perhaps a "Canadian Offer" afterall our dollar is going down fast we could use a break today.
