Will we regret this?

We had planned to go to Disney and stay at least 6 nights, with at least 6 full park days (no hoppers) until we saw the military discounts. Now we are staying for 5 nights, but will only have 4 full park days because of the Military Salute park hopper tickets. Will we regret having only 4 days? It will be 4 adults, 2 kids- ages 8 & 1. I know it's really all a matter of personal preference but I was just curious as to how many people actually only spend 4 days in the parks. We plan to do 1 1/2 days each at MK and Epcot and split the remaining day between AK and HS. We're really not too fond of HS and will probably only hop there at night to see the Osborne lights. We are going the week of Thanksgiving, 11/19 - 11/24 with our actual park days being 11/20-11/23. I know it will be packed and am ready for the crowds as we have been during spring break but I just hope we can do our favorites at each park, which is basically everything at MK and Epcot :)

I am going for 5 days with my son in a month and I don't think you will regret going! It seems like you have been there before and enjoy MK and EPCOT the most and if you know how to handle the Spring Break crowds, you can handle anything:cool1: I think you and your children will be appreciative of the 4 days and you can always come back and it's so nice you are getting the Military discount, well deserved and you will have a wonderful time!!!!!!!!! My son is 11 and he only likes MK, yet he has never been to HS yet, but you will really enjoy it!!!!!!!!!! 4 days is a nice amount of time. :cool1:

Have you considered paying the $26 more per ticket and adding 4 more days with the water parks and fun option? This would give you all something to 'visit' each day of your stay, ane would only add $104 to your cost. Buy them at Shades of Green and pay no tax. :)

We're spending less time in the parks this year due to DD needing a ticket. We're purchasing the military salute ticket for her (TH & I are FL res AP holders). I wanted to upgrade hers to an AP as well, but then our dates would be all out of sync (ours expire in December, hers would expire next Oct).

We're still going for a whole week. There's plenty to do at Disney and Orlando outside of the parks! And, it will be nice to have some "downtime" as well.

I don't think you'll regret it at all!

As long as you have a good touring plan, prioritize what you would like to get done and realize that it gets more crowded as it get closer to Thanksgiving-you should be fine. We did 4 park days that same week and were fine. I would always love more time, but have never done more than 5 days. Having park hoppers will be a big help. You may find that you enjoy one park over another or more park may be less crowded and you can always hop.

Have fun!

We did think about this, but with it being late November, I was a little worried about the weather for the waterparks. We are staying at CSR so the arrival day will be spent at the pool if weather permits.

I definitely don't think that you'll regret it! I think that if you've been there at spring break then you'll definitely be able to handle the crowds. And I think that it would be a good idea to make a list of all the rides, attractions, and restaurants, in order, that you wanna do each day! That way you have a plan and it'll be easier to accomplish more each day! I think that 4 days will definitely be enough to absorb all that Disney magic! :wizard: Hope you have a fantastic trip and lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Yes, I would regret it. 4 days is not long enough at the parks for our family. We usually do 7 or 8 days.

We're going for 7 nights and using the 4 day military salute tix. We're doing 2 half days at MK, 1.5 days at Epcot, half day HS and a full day at AK. Then we have planned down days for walking the boardwalk and DTD plus pool time. I think park tix for every single day you're there is just too much.

It will be hard to do everything you want, but you can manage on four days. You should definitely have a trip agenda though. Make a list of the top things you want to do at each park. Have a great time!!!

I did an adult girls trip there in 2008. We only had 4 days - it was in May so not as crowded as Thanksgiving. Everyone in our group but me had not been there in years so we wanted to do everything - and we did. It was a super fun trip but I remember us running at Epcot because we hadn't done Spaceship earth yet and we wanted to get it in before Illuminations.

If I was with kids, I might regret the 4 days, but what is the alternative? Since you have been before and know what you want at AK and DHS, I think you will be fine. Just an excuse to come back, right?

Really? I can't imagine not going to the parks each day we are in Disney. I've heard of people taking a day off during the week, but an entire week at Disney and only doing 4 park days? Seems like a waste of my Disney vacation time.
