Will we regret not having Magic bands?

I have a Disney ticket I bought a couple years ago I never used so we will be getting one ticket to go with and via a discount site so no magic band.

MBs come with an onsite reservation (or by buying one at the parks if you're offsite and you want to). Doesn't matter where you got the ticket from, you could still add it to MyDisneyExperience and if you had a MB coming to you it could be connected.

My kids both had MB for our last 2 cruises. I don't like the way they look on your wrist or how they feel, I have no impression of them in regards to their functionality. I've got sensory issues so having a bracelet on isn't an option for me.

OK, now it's more clear.

Weirdly, even though I rarely wear something on my wrist, I've actually started to wear, and totally forget about, the MB. So odd. For the heat, there are covers that Disney sells. They are sort of a swimsuit material that does a great job at wicking away moisture.

But you can get normal tickets. And those normal tickets can get associated with your MyDisneyExperience account and can be used to access the FP+ system as far as I know. Like I said, I personally wouldn't have a fun trip if I had no sit-down reservations and was not going to use the fastpass system at all. I'd like to get some things arranged.

I could be wrong but aren't the cruise bands for kids completely different from magic bands?

If you are talking about the bracelets for the kids clubs on DCL, they are different from the magic bands. But to each his own.

This last year they rolled out a very MB-like thing for the kid's clubs. They used to be the simple band with the big huge square on them, but now they are bright yellow MBs with DCL design on them.

I'm glad to hear that DCL kids' bands have changed. I always thought they were pretty obnoxious and didn't know how the kids could stand to wear them.

As for the magic bands, I have a cover I use during the hotter months and I think it's very comfortable. In cooler months like February, I don't use the cover and the bands by themselves are fine, just like wearing a watch.
