Do you think we will regret it if we do not eat here?? I have been on the fence about it. We don't really need to see Wishes from there, we would go for the food/atmosphere etc.

Other places we plan to eat are:
The Yachtsman Steakhouse
Jiko
Cinderella's Royal Table dinner (night before our wedding)
Crystal Palace breakfast
Artist Point
Narcoossee's
Le Cellier dinner
Liberty Tree Taver dinner MVMCP night

Any comments or suggestions/reccomendations are more then welcome.TIA

Y'all have got a world-class linup already planned! But there is something sorta special about CG - the view, the food, the whole package make it memorable.

Go for it.

If you have never been, then you will not know what you are missing. However, we always eat dinner at CA Grill on every trip. This year we are going for our anniversary. :wizard: The view is magical!

If you are asking should you regret it, I would say: "No!" (without any hesitation). If you are asking will you actually regret it, then none of us can really answer. :-)

If your interests are food and service, I would not waste energy thinking about it, as neither are up to par.

If you are looking for atmosphere then from what I hear don't bother with CG. Too many people are there with less than well behaved kids. I'm told it's crowded, noisy and not very romantic any more.

I think you have choosen some very good restruants, CG is good, but it can get noisey.

CG is not terribly romantic IMHO. The food is generally good, service tands to be good, but can be sloppy.

I might suggest swapping Narcooses for Citrico's, you are missing one of WDW's two best restaurants. (Not counting V&A's)

Skylarr - it's your Honeymoon!! Somehow I don't think you will regret anything! Enjoy all of your wonderful choices

You won't regret not eating there. We ate there the day we got married, and while it was good, it wasn't the incredible place that it's hyped up to be. I thought CG was going to be very romantic, but it's just kind of noisy. It looks like you have some other great meals planned. Le Cellier is wonderful and romantic. Enjoy your honeymoon!

DH and I were supposed to go to CG on the first night of our honeymoon, but realized we weren't going to make it in time for our reservation and wound up cancelling it. Instead, we ate at the Cape May Cafe and loved the seafood buffet. You'll have a great time on your honeymoon no matter where you eat! Make sure you get the wedding mickey and minnie ears to wear around the park!!

As for CG, we've been back to WDW several times since our honeymoon and still haven't made it there. We're planning to go this December though, with our new baby. You have a couple of romantic spots on your list already. We went to Cindy's Royal Table on our honeymoon and thought it was very romantic in there!

I'd do it. I have to say that the only thing I regret from my 10th anniversary trip is that we didn't eat at California Grill on the night of our anniversary. To me, nothing seems more romantic than a view of the castle with Wishes music playing as the fireworks go off.
Maybe for our 15th...

Unless something has recently changed, they no longer dim the lights and pipe in the Wishes music.

I think they would prefer to think of themselves as a fine dining establishment rather than an attraction.

We were there in mid-May and they did pipe in the music. I don't recall if the lights were dimmed.

The food was great, and our server was amazing- but I'll ditto the others and say that CG is not particularly romantic. There were LOTS of loud kids there. I'd pick Artist Point as a more romantic spot to eat.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I think we will pass on CG. We are also on the fence about V&A's . We wanted to do the Chef's Table the night after the wedding but we are not sure if we are brave enough... still trying to figure out that one.

Off to look at Citrico's menu... can you elborate on why you think one would be better than the other?? We are also planning on having the Grand 1 for Wishes after this meal. Thaks

Thanks again everyone... I think this part is harder than planning our actual disney wedding!! :wave2:

Citrico's is a far more elegant atmosphere and menu. Generally less kids. Much more refined service. Much quieter, especially if you get a table far from the kitchen near the windows towards the rear of the restaurant. :cloud9:

You'll LOVE the Grand One, we've taken her out three times. :goodvibes Be sure to book her asap, because she can be difficult to get.
