Will we regret missing Wishes and a night in MK?

My kids have never been big fireworks fans so Wishes is not always a "must do" for us. I really enjoy it, though so I usually make them go at least once while we are there...I know....bad mom! But, they do LOVE being at MK at night. There is just something magical about it. I think everyone should experience it at least once!!! pixiedust:

If you've never seen Wishes before, and won't be going back to Disney for several years, I would stay and watch.

Just like a lot of people, when I saw Wishes for the first time it was SO Magical. Since then we've been there several times, and last 2 trips we skipped the Wishes because my kids were dead tired. But we are planning on seeing it this upcoming May trip for sure!

My kids aren't huge fireworks fans, so we've never bothered. We've seen it a few times from the deck of California Grill, and once when we were walking out of the park. Going back in August and I'm going to force them to watch it with me!
We've been 5 times in the past 9 years and we've yet to see Fantasmic! We love rope drop and 3/4 days so the night time stuff doesn't always work out.
Wishes will still be there when you come back so skip it if that makes for easier planning and more rested kids!

We love Wishes. Nothing says Disney more than Wishes. It is one of the few must-dos for our family.

I could do without Illuminations.

I love Wishes and Illuminations, but Fantasmic didn't do much for me. I like the concept of the water screens, but what was projected on them started to feel monotonous after a while. A little kid sitting behind us was scared by the loud bangs, for what that's worth. Because of the close-packed bleacher seating and relatively small viewing space (vs. Wishes/Illuminations), it felt more claustrophobic/immediate and I'm guessing some kids don't like that.

Also, it took forever to get out of there afterwards because we were funneled through a narrow space.

I loooooove Wishes, it's my favorite show!! I hate to admit that I've even been known to tear up at the thing (embarrassed to admit). I think your DD will love it, too. The castle projection beforehand is just stellar! I know it's late for you, but it's so amazing!!
