Will we regret Alfredo's?

we love alfredos, especially thier homemade fetticine alfredo. enjoy!

Not good. We ate there in December. We had heard soooo many negative comments about the food, but thought how bad could it be? Bad. Way too expensive for the quality of food. We won't be going back. I even had the DDE card to save 20%, still was over priced and nasty.

Dh and I went for the first time earlier this month and thought it was fantastic. We too were very hesitant hearing all the bad reviews, but it has definitely made our list for future visits.

Here is my review from the beginning of December - as you can read, it was a good meal for us...

Dinner – 6:15pm – Alfredo’s
I know that reviews have been mixed but we had a very good experience here.

Starters:
Fettuccini alfredo
Caesar salad
Calamari
Tomatoes and Mozzarella

In hindsight, I should have ordered 2 fettuccini’s instead of the tomatoes and mozzarella as the fettuccini was amazing but the other was only okay. The calamari came in a huge pile and the salad was large as well.

Entrees:
Fettuccine alla Vodka con Gamberoni (shrimp pasta with a peppery tomato cream vodka sauce)
2 x Filetto di Bue al Gorgonzola (steak and potatoes)
Specialita del Giorno (which was salmon with a lemon sauce)

When the steaks came out the one was way over cooked and the other was cooked right but cold. We waived down a manager and the steaks were taken away and not 5 mins later replaced with new perfect steaks. The manager and the waiter must have apologized 10 times. As I expressed to the manager, I understand that mistakes happen, all I wanted was it rectified quickly which they did so I was very happy. The pasta was so good, I even pushed aside some of the shrimp to be able to finish it (don’t worry about those shrimp my friends, my dad was there to finish them off). My mom’s salmon was so tender and the lemon sauce was just heavenly.

Dessert:
2 Dessert sampler platters – these were the only let down of the meal. While all of the items were okay, nothing really stood out.

Drinks:
3 diet cokes (2 no ice, 1 ice)
1 ice tea

Total – 4 TS credits used – would have cost $223.05

A fine meal and if we go on the dining plan again, it will certainly be a stop for us.

i feel so bad that there are so many negative reviews of alfredo's. my husband, son, daughter and i just ate there in september, and after a somewhat stressful start (being late, getting rained on, having to run all the way across epcot with 2 young children in tow) it end up being a wonderful evening. upon arriving (late as previously mentioned) we had to wait a little while for a table. the staff was kind enough to bring over crayons and coloring books for the children to keep them entertained (without even being asked to do so). once inside, while a little crowded yes, the food was very good, the wait staff very friendly, kind/courteous and the environment very enjoyable. the children loved the traveling minstrel and the singing waiters (especially when they got to wave their napkins over their heads). so, keep an open mind and i hope you enjoy yourselves (i'll keep my fingers crossed for you).

Here's a positive review! While the food isn't the best Italian I've ever eaten, I've never had such excellent service. My friends and I ate there on a whim (we were hungry, in Italy, and in need of air conditioning) and had a great time. Our waiter was amazing; we had everything we needed before we knew we needed it. Less than halfway through the meal, we each had about ten sodas by our elbows. Each server in the place seemed concerned that we had enough to drink! It's now on our list of places we must eat on our trips!

I had their combination platter..The Alfredo was great,the other things tasted like Chef Boyardee.We LOVED the dessert sampler,and my other half doesnt even like desserts. I'm going in April but Im sticking with the Alfredo and the dessert sampler
