Leaving for WDW Thursday evening and returning Monday afternoon. Planning on packing only one pair of adidas style capris for the return plane trip home and short/skort sets the rest of time. I'm worried that the weather could be cool and will need more pants (at night?).

Also, will DH need a jacket?

I wouldn't think you would, but you may want a jacket or sweater because of air conditioning. I think the weather today was almost 90!!

Have a great trip!!

Heather - Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to hear! The hotter the better or us - especially after such a cold winter!!!

We're leaving Thursday morning from Philly and also returning Monday, and I also had the same question about taking pants. I always over pack because I don't want to be caught without something. Have a great trip...the weather has to be better than Philly today...rainy and cool!!

Yes, anything will be better than our Philly weather!!!!
Where will you be staying during your trip? We'll be at The Swan.

We're staying at Port Orleans Riveriside. I have 3 kids so we needed the trundle bed. Now I'm worrying about thunderstorms. I tend to get fixated on the weather right before we go on a trip. My DH thinks I'm a nut and the kids just say "oh are you checking the weather AGAIN Mom" I'm sure it will be great no matter what.

I just wanted to jump in and say I know nothing about temperatures, but I just love the title of this post:

WILL WE NEED PANTS?

I live in the Atlanta area and right now we are experiencing a bit of a cold front (nothing major) but it was 49 degrees this morning. Usually our cold fronts make it's way down to FL (I know this because my inlaws are in Daytona Beach). If I were you, I'd take one pair of pants, just in case. You probably won't need them but you never know. The nights can definitely get chilly!

Have a great time. Wish I was leaving this week!

A friend of mine was in WDW last weekend and she said she was cold and wished she had packed some pants. She had to use her husband's jacket. Two years ago when we were there in May it was a little chilly too so you never know.

I'd forget the pants...personally I'd rather be a little on the cool side than hot. We were there over New Year's, I checked the weather a lot, took only a few pairs of shorts. The cool weather never showed up at Disney...we were rollin' up the pants into capris and buying every t-shirt we could find!! I now have an endless supply of Disney t-shirts!

We packed one pair of pants each and are wearing a pair down on the plane tonight. Now I'm worried about the thunderstorms, just like "bkrusen". But then I think it's Florida!

LOL, that's why I came in too! I love the names of some of the threads. Makes it very hard for a person like me not to make jokes.:teeth:

Don't bother with long pants. Just bring a jacket for the AC inside at night. It's beautiful weather down there!
(Back in New England-actually might hit 80 tomorrow!)

:Pinkbounc I always bring 1 pair of pants, many a time I have brought them home unused, but it's nice to know I have them if needed. Note to AuroraluvsPhillip....your graphic is the best one I have ever seen. I love Sleeping Beauty.:flower1:

Well we did use the pants - but only on the plane trip home (it was cloudy and rainy when we left yesterday!). The rest of the trip was wonderful! Weather really held out - had rain Friday in the afternoon, but it stopped, then again that night. Saturday it rained at night, but we were in Pleasure Island, so no big deal. Sunday it rained buckets around 8:30 and then in the middle of the night. The days were really great though.

I felt bad for the people in "pants", as we thought it was too warm!

Just had to say I find this post really amusing. I do understand what it means, but here in the UK we say 'trousers' not 'pants'. Pants are underwear here, so it kinda sounds like you are asking ifyou need to take underwear to us Brits. Hee hee lol:teeth:

Oh dear, how childish I am! Another UK Dis-er here (sorry, I keep wandering away from the UK forum!)
This reminds me of frequent exchanges in my classroom (I teach 5 year olds) where in a story or something a reference is made to underwear and the entire class erupts into giggles and I hear myself saying (in my best Schoolteacher voice) 'come on, we all wear pants/knickers/undies. I wear them, you know' (more stifled giggles from the little'uns!)
Anyway, please feel free to poke fun at any 'double meanings' we Brits use. I know there are loads because my husband is Australian and we had some wonderful misunderstandings when we first met eg he asked me when we had only just met where he could buy Durex! He meant what I would call Sellotape!

Vive la difference!!

We are leaving on friday and I am planning on taking one pair of pants just because it may get cool if it rains. we are in MS and it has been raining some and it tends to get chilly when it does. I may not wear them but i would rather be overprepared.
