Need to make ADRs for Sept in about a week, so I must decide. We've been spoiled with all TS on DXDP for past few trips. For Sept, already paid to ugrade free CS to reg plan, and will do OOP 2 TS, mugs, and all CS bkfasts OOP. Was trying to convince myself it will be fun to try all the different CS for lunch with TS dinner. DH is not convinced, LOL, plus he's saying how great it will be to "sleep in" if we have no breakfast ADRs booked :scared1:. He doesn't like the late nights either :confused3. It would be about 465 more (after adding all the OOP) to upgrade to deluxe. This would turn all our CS to TS, more snacks, and a few appys at non-buffets. If the CS are a hassle, and hard to get a table, that may be enough to push me over to DXDP. How much more ride time would we actually be gaining if the CS lines are crazy? Was hoping to save a few $- but if my estimate of 25/day breakfast CS for 2A, 1C is low, bring on the deluxe! I'm frustrated and embarrased that I can't decide one way or the other :sad2:.

If you can start making reservations in about a week, that should put you the 2nd week of Sept or so?

That week should be quite low crowd-wise (pretty much any week after Labor day in Sept is slow) so CS shouldn't be much of a problem. In fact, I'd guess that you'd actually spent MORE time at TS if on Deluxe than at CS. (Especially if you go a bit early, like around 11:30am or late after 1pm).

However, with that said, take a look at your current plans. Count up the total number credits at all the TS restaurants you already have planned (including ones you plan to pay OOP for). If this number is at or close to 2/3 of the total credits you'd get on DxDDP, then with a few tweaks, you'd likely be better off on DxDDP. I won't go into entitlement details, because you know the drill having used it before :).

If you'd like, I have a spreadsheet down in my signature that I just updated last night (using Faldred's calculations as well) which may help you decide. You can input what you'd do on DxDDP and what you'd do on DDP (since the plan may dictate where and what you'd eat) and see how it turns out.

In the end, so long as you aren't losing money on either plan, it's all about experience vs finances. Are the additional experiences on DxDDP worth the extra money that you'd be paying out? If so, then the DxDDP route will be worthwhile, if not, than alternative routes (DDP or just flat OOP) will work better :).

As far as your estimate. I'd say it was pretty close if not slightly over. Tough for me to say though since I don't eat breakfast ><.
