Will we make it to Fantasmic in time?

So after really struggling with the fact that we would only get half a day at Epcot during my upcoming September trip, I finally decided to add an extra day so that we could have a full day there! The original plan was for half day at Epcot and then over to Hollywood Studios, but now we will do a full day at each. I am really happy about this, and my DD8 is happy because this means we get there a day earlier than expected and can do the Hollywood and Vine dinner (she is really excited about this place more than any other for some reason lol). Since this was a last minute decision, the only time I could get for H&V was 7:15, with Fantasmic starting at 8:30. I plan on getting a fastpass for Fantasmic, but I wanted to see if you lovely people think that this is just cutting it too close. Does H&V run behind? Is it possible to get in and out of there in 45-ish minutes and then over to Fantasmic in time to get a decent seat?

That's a bit tight. I'd hold onto the H&V RSVP but keep checking it daily from the app or your PC and see if another time opens up. it's pretty early yet and H&V isn't a place that's going to be completely swamped (compared to Ohana or BoG!) so you've got a good chance of scoring a better time I think.

That is probably too tight for a character buffet. You are at the mercy of the characters and when they show up. And you would have to be seated promptly. We had a fp for Fantasmic and got there about 8:50pm - the end of the fp window. They were mixing the fp crowd with the stand by people by then. But at least we got in.

It's really fun!! ...and it sounds like your daughter is really looking forward to it. Just keep looking for an earlier time...usually there are changes closer to the date. Thank you My daughter is definitely looking forward to it, and I have decided that if we can't find an earlier reservation, we will just go over to HS for Fantasmic on our Epcot day since we don't care much for Illuminations. So worst case scenerio is we just have to do the dinner and the show on two separate nights! But I will keep looking for a better time...I am wondering if a lot of people have booked at H&V because of the Halloween seasonal dining thing they will be doing!
