Will we get a map?

We're planning our second 2nd trip. That's not a typo. We went once in 2007, then planned a trip in 2012. We were about 30 days out when my husband was laid off with no warning or compensation package and we had to use our trip insurance to stay afloat. Now that we're on our feet again, we're planning our second trip again...like a do-over I guess.

When we planned our first and first-second trips, we got a cool map and a planning DVD. Do they still send those out? We ordered the DVD, but I don't recall seeing anything about a map.

If the maps are available anymore (really can't remember) you would have to order them off the WDW website.

They don't sent out the personalized maps anymore. You can print them off the website though.

They'll have maps available at the park.

I'm not concerned about getting lost, my kid was just wondering if we'd get a personalized map.

They don't do the personalized maps anymore. My daughter (12) wanted hard copies for her planning and countdown so I called WDW and they sent her park maps. She was thrilled.

It's totally sad that they stopped the personalized maps. Just happened in the last year (maybe less than a year).

Layoffs are no fun, even with compensation and warning, so I send you major, late, hugs for the one you guys experienced.

Thanks! It was rough for a while a couple of years, but we're back to having room to breathe again, so that's something! It feels good to be able to plan this trip, pay for it out of pocket, and to know that we're okay. I feel like we've earned this trip, for sure!
