I've read some bad reviews and now I'm getting nervous. Too late to change our reservations - is it really that bad? I want to look forward to that meal!

We were there last August and it was one of our favorites for character interaction. The food was good as well. It is served family style and we were seated in booths facing the little corridor so dining was more private than in some of th other restaurants. The characters circle around and had fun with my DGD and my 22 YO niece. She never would have been able to play along as much if the seating was different.

We enjoyed our meal, but there taste is a personal preference. You may want to try for yourself.

Here are my comments:

I have been a total of 3 times. The first times were in 1996 and 1997 and DH and I absolutely loved it.

The 3rd time was in 2003 with our 2 boys and we really were not that impressed with the food. Our server wasn't that good but the table next to us had a great one. I know this because we were with the people in the next table. Our party of 8 total were not impressed at all.

That being said, it was not horrible. I have actually made an ADR for our upcoming June trip just for our kids' sake. The character interaction is wonderful.

Hope this may help you a bit at least...

This Oct will be our 3rd meal at Garden Grill. We have always it. It much much more relaxing than buffets--although we do a lot of buffets; we like the food; and the character interaction is wonderful.

We are 2 adults and love Garden Grill. The food is good as well as the characters. We plan on going back this september for our third trip there.

Yay! Thanks - you've all made me feel a lot better! We're doing this for our very young grandchildren on their parents' night out. Now I'm back to being excited.

Character Interaction is A+. The characters come around frequently and spend a lot of time with each table.

The food is probably a B-. If it is served hot, the fish, potatoes, fries, and chicken strips for the kids (I don't know if this is still on the menu) were all pretty tasty. My rolls weren't hot, but the dessert was pretty good.

We went in Nov 06.

:thumbsup2 We went to the GG during our last visit and enjoyed it. The mixed greens salad, rolls and citrus butter was a nice start. My DD6 didn't care for the greens, she's a romaine and iceburg only salad girl;)

The main dish had a nice sampling of items. The turkey was similar to LTT, as well as the flank steak. We aked our server not include the catfish on our plate, so can't say anything about that. The sides of mashed pots, stuffing, and assorted veggies were delicious. I guess the fact that they are grown within Epcot made them taste even better!

Our children were given mac and cheese and chicken fingers, however we shared all of the above with them. The sever didn't make a fuss when we asked for seconds of almost everything. Dessert was some type of irish cream bread pudding for the adults, good...not great, and make it yourself cupcakes for the kiddies. This was a big hit with my girls. It also was a nice change instead of the constant kiddie sundeas.

Character interaction was great. We saw each character several times.

I didn't like sitting in the upper section of the restaurant. We unable to see much if any of The Land ride, which is part of the appeal of this place. So if you go ask for the lower seating area.

So go ahead and enjoy yourself at GG, I think you will be happy! :)
