Will we definitely miss Space Mtn.?

Just wondering if anyone knows from past experience if the closures for ride refurbishments are set in stone, or if there's maybe a chance the ride will open early. We planned a trip for Nov. and were thrilled when we realized we'd be there when Space Mtn. reopens. Now, because of work-related issues, we may have to take our trip last week in October. We are extremely lucky to even be going to Disney this year, so I feel kinda bad just asking about this, but it's my DS11's FAVORITE ride. Any hope?

There's always is a chance of an early "soft opening."
Many refurbs have had them.

But in this case, about 3 weeks early is a bit unlikely.

I'd say with the delay in opening TTA it might be a sign that they could be a little behind, but maybe not. I would prepare thinking that it will be closed so that way if you get there and you do get to ride it then you can celebrate, but if you get there and you don't get to ride it then you'll at least be prepared. I hope it is open for you guys!

I was wondering the same thing too and feeling a little guilty about it. We are going Nov. 7-14 and I feel very fortunate that we were able to schedule a trip this year. But at the same time I'm bummed that Space Mountain may not be open yet. It is our kids favorite ride. I'm glad we are able to go this year......but, it sure would be nice to have Space Mountain! (geez, I sure do want it all!)

It's definately going to be strange doing MNSSHP or even going to MK & not being able to ride SM. Luckily i'm fortunate to have planned a DLR trip for December so i'll still get my SM rides in. I made sure when I went last Christmas that I rode a few extra times knowing I wouldn't be able to this year. I'm getting used to having at least one major ride closed for my trips as September is always a good time for refurb but i'm still upset. At least this year RNRC & Everest are still open.

Trust me, it could be a whole lot worse.

Supposed to reopen Nov 21. We leave the 22d. Our MK day is the 20th. Planning KTTK tour for the morning we leave, 930... the plan is to rush to get FP for SM right at rope drop, then do the tour, then use the FP and do a few more things before leaving for the airport. The tour is definite---fingers crossed it is reopen.

There is word HERE that the TTA
(which has also been in refurb, with up to 4 "extensions" in the re-open date)
is, as of today, Sept. 12, now OPEN.
