We are traveling with friends who are gonna camp at Ft. Wilderness. We are gonna stay at AKL. Will we be able to drive to their camper in FT. Wilderness to cook out/hang out etc. without a hassle at the gate. Is their some type of visitors pass we will need? Any info would be appreciated.

You will have to park your car at the outer parking lot and then take an internal bus to their campsite or have them come and pick you up. You can only park one car at a campsite. They will make you move any extra vehicles.

Friends were visiting us at FW last summer. They were staying at the Polynesian and took the monorail to MK and then the boat over to FW. They were then able to visit the Petting Zoo area before getting on the internal bus to our camping loop. Thier young children enjoyed the playground near the boatdock and then had Pony rides as well before their return back to their resort. They loved it!! :paw:

We stayed at the FW cabins in 2002 & had family (Floridians) visit us. They parked in the outer lot, near check-in (as stated by previous posters) & then took the internal bus. It worked fine, with no hassles. I believe they did tell the security personnel at the gate who they were visiting.
