Will visiting other resorts be allowed?

They are having BCV guests use the BW feature pool . So I am sure while they are over there they could grab food or ice cream .

Is anyone currently visiting that could provide an update on this question? We are coming in 2 weeks staying at BLT but really hoping to grab a Dole whip at the Poly
You could always make a reservation at Kona and just grab a drink there and a dole whip after. With two of the parks closing so early and no hopping, the issue is they can’t have people leaving the parks at 6/7 and causing evening crowds at the deluxe resorts—from what I have heard, the Poly is already pretty crowded in the evening just with resort guests who have nowhere else to go. Requiring dining reservations allows Disney to control the capacity at resorts the way they do at with park reservations at the parks.

So we stayed at RR weekend of the 4th, and made reservations on the 4th at the Wave at the CR for dinner. When we got there I told the guard gate that we had dinner reservations, gave him our last name and he then asked for ID and told us that he has to verify it is me because you are not allowed on property without a resi for dinner or resort. I then told him that the car behind us was my kids and they were with us, normally they just pass them thru behind us, but he stopped them and made my son in law show his ID also. I just wonder do they have a checkpoint for someone coming from say Disney Springs to the resort? Can anyone grab a bus from Disney Springs to say the Poly, get off at Poly and walk the Poly?

Thank you for the replies. I do have a Kona reservation just in case thankfully. It’s at 8 pm so I just hope Moana Mercantile is staying open that late

Bumping this now that the parks are re-opened.

Is resort hopping allowed? Or are CM's checking MB's to see if anyone trying to walk in actually has a resort or dining reservation and turning them away if they don't?

In practical terms, can someone get on the monorail line and stop at the Poly for a Dole Whip? Or the GF or CR gift shops?

Or might they even have CM's stationed at the Resort Monorail platform checking MB's for resort/dinner rez and only allowing those with them onto the monorail?

If anyone who's actually there could report back, we'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with the WDW rez line and asked about this. According to whom I spoke with... if your MB is showing that you're a Disney guest staying at a resort (in our case AKL/WL) you can visit other resorts like the Poly. Can anyone else confirm?
