I seem to recall seeing mentioned somewhere that the Value resorts might not charge extra if you need a refrigerator in the room for medication (insulun). Can anyone confirm or deny this?

If you need a fridge for medical reasons, you only need to ask. You don't need a Dr's note or anything. Have stayed in values before and needed fridge for medication. No problem. Have a great trip.

Also double check your bill at when you check out to make sure you are not charged. If you are they will remove it with no questions asked. Also had this happen once.

NO they will not charge and as the pp said you do not need to show anything but some people have said that the fridge you get for medicine is not as big as the one you get for food. I got a regular size one for free last year but I have heard the others are the size of a shoebox.

They have 2 sizes of refrigerators - one is dorm sized and one is about the size of a shoebox.
You may also want to check with your pharmacist about the need for refrigeration. Many types of unsulin don't need to be stored in the refrigerator (only unopened bottles for long term storage). If that's the case with yours, you can still request a frig, but won't have to be worried if you don't get one.
