Will upgrading at check in void FD promo?

If we booked a Std View room at AKL w/ FD promo and paid for an upgrade at check in to Savannah view, what would that do to the promo, if anything? Usually FD has only been offered on the STD view rooms not Savannah view rooms.

If it isn't offered on a specific room type it would void the offer If you upgrade I imagine. If they aren't going to let you book the room with the promo I don't see the difference between that and upgrading.

I don't recall savannah rooms being excluded though... They just may book a bit faster.
