Will Universal follow WDW and raise ticket prices?

I actually had to call to purchase my AP ticket as the online store would not accept any form of payment. When I called the ticket line, one of the options was "if you are trying to buy tickets online". Makes me think that changes may be in the works.

So, thanks again for the very quick answers. I know I can always depend on good advice from the experts here. ::yes::

Had the same issues last night so purchased through Undercover Tourist.

I just decided to buy two more 4 day tickets to use in the future based on reading these posts - but it's asking me to put names for the ticketholder, and I'm just not positive which names to put. I may need the ticket, or I may use both for my daughter if I have an AP at that time. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

I wasn't planning on it, but I bought my tickets on undercover tourist today... I don't think they went up yet... I did the 3rd day free, even though we only plan on two days... Figure no harm no foul... And then if we are bored one day at disney we could drive over and check it out.

A few years ago, there was a promotional offering for (if memory serves) $99 7-day park to park tickets! Should have bought up a few for future trips. I believe a few DISers did exactly that.

our AAA office had them for $67, bought a handful = money in the bank:). Still have one left but problem is these tickets are still only worth $67 towards upgrade, so i'll continue to hang onto it for next time a family member needs one. Unfortunately, Universal doesn't bridge tickets ala Disney.

Q re PAP renewal policy - how early can you renew online? we usually don't renew PAP until we arrive @ the parks in June, which is the expiry month but would be nice to try & avoid a price increase.

I believe it's +/- 30 days from expiration.

Just saw the news! I was able to get 3 day park hoppers for $165, including tax. Much better than the new gate price of $208 (including tax) for the same tickets! I already had tickets for our upcoming June trip, but bought another set or our next trip in 2-3 years. At the rate these prices are increasing, I think we'll be glad to have them!

This is one reason why I decided to buy actual tickets (instead of the evoucher via Universal) from Undercover Tourist. I want to leave open the option of having someone else use the tickets. Also, UT has better prices and I've used them before for WDW tickets.

You know that three day "free" option ticket has to be used by some date this May, right?

Edited to add: Oops, I just noticed your signature and see you plan to be there this May!

Yup. And having actual tickets saves you time at the gate.

Ah ok. I was looking at the 4 day park to park tickets for $149 at Bestoforlando - but you have to put a name on them and pick them up at a kiosk. Oh well!

Rowan555 - I just spoke with Bestoforlando and if you look closely at their site they have hard tickets at $149 as well as the e-ticket option (same price).

I bought three of these. I used one for my daughter last year, so I have two left. It was so funny when the ticket lady at Portofino saw it. She said"Wow! What a great deal!"

SHOOT. Okay, I missed this completely. Thanks! I wish I'd gotten that for this May trip. That's what I get for ordering tickets while I have the flu. Guess we'll have to head to the kiosk this time due to my stupidity!
