Will two 2 person reservations become a 4?

So I wanted to switch our HS day and H&V will be a must do for us (DD4 is a huge Disney Jr. fan). This will be our first trip to WDW.

I was only able to get two 2 person reservations (at the same exact time) for our party of 4.

So my question is - if I went ahead and canceled these reservations would a 4 pop up? I'm guessing not but maybe someone knows for sure.

Also, what is the likelihood that the 4 of us could check in together and sit next to/ near each other? Not sure of the layout/how seating is done at this restaurant.

What is the chance a 4 person spot might open that day? We are going 11/19. I'm just nervous because I feel like once the FP+ opens up we will have less flexibility to change times around.

Keep what you have and keep trying for a reservation for four. If you cancel the two reservations for two that you already have, you might not get any back. Since your reservations are for the same time it is possible that you could be seated together or near each other. Check in early and explain your situation. They may be able to accommodate you. But there are no guarantees.

I agree, just ask at check-in to be seated together.
There are a few two-tops in there, but most of the time when we've checked in with 2, we've ended up at a four-top anyway.

I'd definitely keep the reservation and keep looking or a party of 4.

They can sometimes put two reservations together and sit everyone at a table, but this is never guaranteed because it depends on how busy they are that day, the server, etc. If you can't get the reservation for 4, explain the situation when you arrive and politely ask if you can be seated together and that you don't mind to wait extra to be seated together (if you're ok with the extra wait).
