Yeah, I guess I was thinking people could sit closer together on the elevators so more on each run? But if it is capacity that dictates number of elevators... maybe not. I guess I can still be happy if there's less queueing in the glaring sun!
Not until they fill all rows. Decreasing social distancing means the line won't be as long, but still the same time waiting.
The issue on TOT is that they’re not loading the middle row, and I’m not sure 3 feet will change that. Maybe though! Is there any chance Tower of Terror will be able to seat more riders with decreased social distancing?
I would think that the changes that allow them to go to 50% capacity will be done in the next week. The flip side is that - if I’m right - they will be at 50% capacity, so a lot more people in the parks! And hopefully by 5/21 when we’re visiting?![]()
And not more attractions open, so more people wondering around, making it appear more crowded.I would think that the changes that allow them to go to 50% capacity will be done in the next week. The flip side is that - if I’m right - they will be at 50% capacity, so a lot more people in the parks!
I cannot express to you how many trainees I saw last week when i was there. They’re staffing up like crazy, and the only reason to staff up is to open things. So while I agree with you, I wouldn’t be surprised if mass reopening happen on a timeline of days not months. I think it’s instructive that they have two hotels listed to reopen in just the next 3 weeks. To answer your question on TOT. Yes, I think they will add more people to the ride meaning capacity for the ride will increase.
I just really dont think they will add capacity to the parks until more things open. They need more shows, attractions, and restaurants to open before announcing moving up in capacity.
Now, that could be achieved by late summer with the advent of the college program coming back. (even though I have major problems with the way the college program is run, it will allow them to open more things)
With them bringing back the college program already, it seemed like they are getting ready to open things up a lot more.I cannot express to you how many trainees I saw last week when i was there. Guess we got lucky in April as both elevators were running, but still a long line. The biggest issue we had on our March trip is that there was pretty much at least one elevator down every time we rode. So even though we went there first thing in the morning and the posted time was only 25 mins, we ended up waiting 90 minutes because the started running with only two elevators, then one, then they held us line right before the boiler room for ages because the whole thing went down. It just seems to be a ride with a lot of technical issues these days!
