Will this work?

On our upcoming MK day I booked BOG at 1:45 and LTT at 2:50. The plan is to do lunch at BOG (pre-ordered) and then head over to LTT for dessert (LOVE the ooey gooey toffee cake!). A few questions:

1. Do you think this will work timing-wise?

2. Is it rude to just order dessert at LTT? I don't want to short-change the wait-staff.

3. For lunch at LTT they have a-la-carte menu items available. For dinner they just have the fixed price Patriots Platter option (you can't order a-la-carte options during dinner). At LTT, dinner begins at 3:00. Because our ADR is at 2:50, even if they seat us after 3:00 we will still be able to just order the ooey gooey toffee cake at the lunch price, correct?

Thanks!!

1. Yes. Preorder. Check in a little early.
2. No. Just tip nicely.
3. I don’t know, but I’d assume so. You booked lunch, you should order from lunch.

Our last lunch at BOG took a long time because they forgot part of our order. From the time we arrived until the time we left was at least 1.5hrs. We pre-ordered for six people.

I'm not sure why you'd want to spend so much time eating at two restaurants. I'm assuming it will take at least two hours between the two restaurants. Why not just get dessert at a quick service if you don't like the choices at BOG?

Because ooey gooey toffee cake is only at ltt and only at lunch.

When you get to ltt, confirm you will be ordering lunch. Enjoy!

My only concern is how tight your time frame. If you have to wait to be seated at BoG (not uncommon) will you be done in tinme to get to LTT by 2:50?
Agree with pre-order your lunch. That will save you some time.
And check with LTT that they know you are there for lunch and not dinner.
Enjoy!

I think dinner is a fixed price, a la carte is only at lunch.
correct, for dinner you must get the fixed menu. But both lunch and dinner have the toffee cake, its just bundled in the fixed menu price at dinner.

From my own perspective - which may be different from the OPs - since buying DVC in 2012 we have been to WDW almost every year for the past 8 years. At a certain point it becomes less important to ride every ride and do every attraction and things like spending a lot of time on sit down meals aren't really a big deal.

Thank you to everyone who responded! I think we are going to try to make it work; but, in the meantime, I am going to look for a slightly earlier ADR time at BOG to give us a little more of a cushion.

Well, this will be our 4th trip to WDW in the last 15 months. We will have our daughter's boyfriend with us this trip and she really wants to show him all the special things she loves about Disney. Among them, are the Beast's castle and the ooey gooey toffee cake! We figured that the combination of the two would make for an overall fun lunch experience. It has nothing to do with not liking the dessert choices at BOG.

Yes, this!

You hit the nail on the head! We are frequent visitors; rushing to all the rides is not in our plans anymore. The sit down meals and a leisurely pace is where it's at...even for my teenagers. They love to stop and smell the roses at Disney! Some of our best memories are when we are just "sitting still", hanging out together, and taking it all in!
