It will be my DH, me, DS3, and DS7mo traveling. My DS3 only has one big ride he wants to ride, if he's tall enough. If I go through the day getting fast passes with all 3 tickets we will have would the following be possible:

DH rides with FP and I get a child swap ticket, that way we can both ride the fast pass rides 3 times per day. Or would it be better just to single rider it? Can you do this and would it work? TIA

Do you mean your DH would ride with DS 9(if tall enough) with FP and you would get a child swap for you to ride later with DS? I'm not sure if they will give you a child swap at the FP entrance (it's usually the same entrance). Maybe some others who have done so can tell you for sure.

You could definitely get a child swap ticket at the regular entrance. So say your DH and DS go thru the regular line and get a child swap ticket. Then they could "change their minds" after a few minutes and exit out. DH and DS could then go thru the FP line and when they return you could take the child swap tix and take DS on again.

First time thru FP line-your DH and DS ride using 2 FP
You ride with DS with child swap ticket. FP used -0
That would leave you with one unused FP. Sounds complicated. Not sure if you can utilize 3 FP and child swap to have 6 (3x2) different rides. Single rider may be easier. There are alot of SR lines at DCA.

Anyone know for sure if you can get a child swap while using a FP?

How tall is DS? You can check several places for height requirements. Be aware that if he is right at the height, Disney does make adjustments on their measuring devices for shoes. Make sure you DS has a shoe with some height to it.

I can verify that we got child swap passes while using a fast pass earlier this week....:thumbsup2

I mean DH would ride alone, then I would, except on Splash which DS3.5 wants to ride and is about 1/4" too short for w/o shoes, but is due for a growth spurt any day now since the night terrors started again. And thank you for your input!

You are a genius. Yep you could get an FP for three different rides or for one ride three times in a row. Autopia would be the exception as they allow kid age 1 and up but for the rest of the FP you are correct. It has even been said that the people in line can use the GAC for disabled entry, FP, single rider, or standby lines. When the people in line get off the ride then they meet up with the babysitter who then takes the paper given to the babysitter and follows the directions. The babysitter can take one person with them and sometimes two people depending on the ride and CM but the rule is one companion only.

Thank you so much! I think this will truely make going during spring break ok. I was worried about not getting to do much due to the crowd level. TY TY TY!

It TOTALLY works. We do this as often as we can - not only do we maiximize our FP collection - we maximize it's use. You can collect a FP for everyone who has a ticket even if they aren't tall enough to ride and then use the FP for someone else - or in your case - with child swap.

We love this method. Our DS12 loves this method, since he is usually the one who gets to ride the additional time. :thumbsup2
