We are staying off-site and purchasing 4 day hoppers. I am thinking of upgrading to an AP for the restaurant and store discounts (and future visits!) but we really need to take advantage of the MM we get with the tickets.

Will I be able to attend MM our first full morning at DL and upgrade to the AP the same day. i.e., on our way back to the hotel for naps or even earlier before we eat lunch?

Possibly a dumb question, lol, because I can't think of any reason why I couldn't but you never know when some little detail will trip me up.

We are upgrading after using our MM's too!

Providing its an EE day, yes, you can upgrade after you enter the park that day. Oh, except you need to make sure there are no blackout dates during your visit.

...you need to make sure there are no blackout dates during your visit.

Yeah, that. :)

Remember though, everyone gets pictures taken, so if anyone is overtired and might take a cranky picture, know you/they will have to live with that for at least a year. :goodvibes

You could go in on the MM day, have fun in FL or on Nemo, then once the MM hour is done you could run back to the bank and take care of it as the park opens. Not suggesting that, just saying that the world is open to you in terms of when to upgrade (as long as you do so before finishing up the hopper days!), and every meal you have without the AP discount is costing you 10% than it needs to. :upsidedow

Yep, and I agree with checking those black out days! We upgraded on our last day. We were staying onsite so the MM didn't matter on that. But as someone else said, once you're in, you're in!

I thought the restaurant discount was 15% everywhere except DTD where it's 10%? It's still true that premium APs have no blackout days, correct? Thanks for the advice!

If you're upgrading to premium, then yes, 15% for most food (some restaurants don't participate).

Now re-reading your OP I see you mentioned store discounts, so of course I should have assumed Premium (or at least made sure you knew that only Premium comes with store discounts). I skimmed and I'm sorry 'bout that.

You are correct, no blockout dates for Premiums, so you don't have to worry about that at all.:goodvibes
